Sukuna is one of the most aggressive melee fighting styles in Sailor Piece, offering high AOE damage and strong PvP potential. It comes in two versions — Sukuna V1 and its upgraded form, Sukuna V2 (officially called Strongest in History). V2 deals more damage and has a wider AOE, but getting there requires significantly more farming. Here’s exactly what each version demands and how to finish the grind efficiently.
Quick answer: Sukuna V1 requires completing a three-part questline at Shibuya Station and turning in boss-drop materials plus 5,000 Gems and 1.25M Gold. Sukuna V2 skips the questline entirely but needs rare drops from the Strongest in History boss on Shinjuku Island, including the Disgraced One title and 20 eaten Awakened Cursed Fingers.

Sukuna V1 Questline and Requirements
Head to Shibuya Station and find the Sukuna Trainer NPC on the upper platform. Speaking to this NPC starts a three-quest chain that must be completed before you can hand in any materials.

After finishing all three quests, return to the Sukuna Trainer NPC and submit the following materials to unlock V1.
| Material | Quantity | Source | Drop Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dismantle Fang | 3 | Sukuna boss | 8% |
| Crimson Heart | 1 | Sukuna boss | 2.5% |
| Cursed Finger | 6 | Sukuna boss | 20% |
| Gems | 5,000 | Chests, quests, codes | — |
| Gold | 1,250,000 | NPC grinding, quests | — |
Because the questline already requires 15 Sukuna boss kills, you’ll likely accumulate most of the Cursed Fingers and Dismantle Fangs naturally. The Crimson Heart at 2.5% is the bottleneck — expect to need additional kills beyond the quest minimum to land one. Gold and Gems come from standard NPC farming, chest opening, and redeeming active codes through the game’s code redemption system.

Since you’ll be farming the Sukuna boss heavily for both V1 materials and the key item needed to access V2, knowing the complete loot pool helps you plan.
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Haki Color Reroll | 60% |
| Race Reroll | 40% |
| Trait Reroll | 32.5% |
| Boss Ticket | 30% |
| Malevolent Key | 30% |
| Cursed Finger | 20% |
| Dungeon Key | 20% |
| Dismantle Fang | 8% |
| Sukuna Collar | 4% |
| Curse King (Title) | 4% |
| Crimson Heart | 2.5% |
The Malevolent Key at 30% is critical — it’s the only way to summon the Strongest in History boss required for V2. Hold onto every key you get.
Sukuna V2 (Strongest in History) Requirements
Sukuna V2 is a separate, more powerful melee spec. Unlike V1, there is no questline to complete. You simply need to collect all the required materials and bring them to the Strongest in History Trainer NPC, located on the rooftop of Shinjuku Island.
| Material | Quantity / Condition | Source | Drop Rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Malevolent Soul | 3 | Strongest in History boss | 2–3% |
| Cursed Flesh | 1 | Strongest in History boss | 0.65–0.9% |
| Vessel Ring | 7 | Strongest in History boss | 6–8% |
| Awakened Cursed Finger | Eat 20 | Strongest in History boss | 15–25% |
| Disgraced One (Title) | Obtain 1 | Strongest in History boss | 1–1.5% |
Note that the Awakened Cursed Fingers must be consumed (eaten), not just held in your inventory. The Disgraced One title also doubles as a 50% damage boost, making it useful well beyond the unlock requirement. Cursed Flesh is by far the rarest drop at under 1%, so expect a long grind.

Spawning and Fighting the Strongest in History Boss
Unlike the Sukuna boss, the Strongest in History boss does not auto-spawn. You need to use a Malevolent Key at the Strongest Boss Summoner on Shinjuku Island. Each key is consumed on use, so every attempt costs one key — and keys only drop from the Sukuna boss at a 30% rate.
The boss has multiple difficulty tiers. On Easy, it starts with 150 million HP. On Extreme, that jumps to 2.5 billion HP. Higher difficulties improve drop rates across the board, so running Extreme is strongly recommended if your build can handle it. Make sure you have your best Devil Fruit, accessories, sword, and runes equipped before starting the fight.
The full drop table for this boss includes one additional notable item beyond the V2 materials.
| Drop | Chance |
|---|---|
| Awakened Cursed Finger | 15–25% |
| Vessel Ring | 6–8% |
| Cursed Flesh | 2–3% |
| Malevolent Soul | 2–3% |
| Divine Wheel | 1.25–2% |
| Disgraced One (Title) | 1–1.5% |

Farming Strategy for Both Versions
The two unlock paths are connected. You need to farm the Sukuna boss at Shibuya Station first regardless of which version you’re targeting, because V1 requires its drops directly and V2 requires Malevolent Keys that only come from the same boss. A practical approach looks like this:
V1 vs. V2 — Is the Extra Grind Worth It?
Sukuna V2 outperforms V1 in both raw damage output and AOE coverage. It’s one of the few fighting styles in Sailor Piece that can comfortably handle the Shadow Monarch boss, which is tied to some of the best swords in the game. If you’re focused on endgame PvE or competitive PvP, V2 is the clear upgrade. The tradeoff is a significantly longer farm, especially for Cursed Flesh and the Disgraced One title, both sitting below 3% drop rates even on Extreme difficulty.
For players still building up their gear and stats, V1 serves as a strong stepping stone. It’s accessible much earlier and the Sukuna boss is easy enough to defeat with a mid-tier build. You can always pursue V2 later once your loadout is strong enough to handle the Strongest in History boss efficiently.
