Clear every map, dungeon, Tarstone, and the Vlas questline in this early Ruins of Mammon zone without missing a single item.

The Outskirts of Mammon is the first region you reach in the Ruins of Mammon, sitting south of Marrow Keep. It centers on a long north-south bridge and a shattered gate destroyed in battle. Full completion here means grabbing the region map, both dungeons, every Tarstone, the hidden items, and finishing the merchant Vlas’s short questline. Enemies here hit noticeably harder than anything in Fainweald, so treat the early camps near the beacon as a level check.

Quick answer: From the Outskirts of Mammon beacon, clear Smuggler’s Hideout, grab the Map of Mammon [5] from Ruk’s statue to the west, complete both Tarstone trials, clear Hag’s Pit, collect the Headsman’s Stone and Foundry Stone, finish Vlas’s two-part quest, then load the Makeshift Projectile into the catapult to claim the last item.

How to reach the Outskirts of Mammon

You get here from Marrow Keep. Take the lift up to the roof and use the fast travel platform, choosing the Outskirts of Mammon destination through the corrupted Bone Gate. If this is your first trip into the region, you will need Mether’s Breath active to clear the corruption on the far side of the platform first.

Arriving drops you at the Outskirts of Mammon beacon. Rest here to set your respawn point, then open the map to orient yourself before moving out.

Reveal the region: Map of Mammon [5]

The map fragment unlocks the full layout of the region and marks the remaining Corrupted Gates, so grab it early. Head west from the beacon toward Ruk’s statue.

Leave the beacon and travel west, clearing the enemy camps along the path. Watch your footing here, as bear traps are scattered across the route to the statue.
Talk to Ruk at the statue to collect the Map of Mammon [5]. The region map fills in immediately, revealing the dungeons and gates you still need to hit.

Both dungeons: Smuggler’s Hideout and Hag’s Pit

The region holds two main dungeons. Smuggler’s Hideout sits behind one of the western camps, and Hag’s Pit is reached below the Corrupted Statue to the east.

Enter Smuggler’s Hideout behind one of the western enemy camps. Fight through the guards inside and open the stone chests to pull Ventrium and a Coin of Mammon before leaving.
Later, from the Corrupted Statue in the east, drop down to find the Hag’s Pit entrance and descend on the wooden lift. Clear every hag inside and loot the stone chests for Laterite and another Coin of Mammon.

Note: The Crumbling Tunnel next to the beacon is a short side dungeon. Head in, defeat the single enemy, and collect a Glimpse before returning to the surface.

Every Tarstone and stone item

Completion here means collecting each stone scattered across the region. Two come from trials, others from chests and altars, and the last requires the catapult.

StoneWhere to get it
Enfeebling StoneCleanse the Corrupted Statue trial east of the beacon and clear the enemy waves
Headsman’s StoneChest in the ruins near the cliff edge east of Vlas; boosts melee critical damage (+50% to +100%)
Foundry StoneBone chest past the bonfire, left of the destroyed gate down the ramp from the beacon
Egon’s StoneChest along a ruined path
Justiciar’s StoneLooted inside the dungeons
Final stone itemFired from the catapult using the Makeshift Projectile

The Enfeebling Stone trial is worth doing right after you grab the map, since the Corrupted Statue that starts it also marks the drop-in point to Hag’s Pit. The Headsman’s Stone is the standout reward here for melee builds thanks to its large critical damage bonus.

Vlas questline (two parts)

Vlas is the injured merchant sitting near a campfire, reached by crossing the broken bridge west of the map fragment. Shoot the tied platform with a sidearm to drop it, cross over, and he is on your left. His quest is short but requires a rest at a beacon to advance.

Speak to Vlas. He asks you to look for his companion, so search the three nearby wooden containers to find the coin. Pick up the Glimpse in the area while you are here.
Return to Vlas and report back, then travel to the beacon and rest. Resting is what pushes the quest to its second stage.
Go back to Vlas one more time and talk to him to finish the dialogue. He hands over a Scribe’s Note, which describes a man named Bartol seeking payment for building a “sealed wall” for someone called Sariel, with the rest blotted out by blood.

Makeshift Projectile and the catapult

The final item in the region is locked behind the catapult, which needs ammo you have to find on the cliffs nearby.

Work your way along the cliff edge near the catapult and pick up the Makeshift Projectile. Clear the cliffside guards defending the area as you go.
Return to the catapult, load the Makeshift Projectile, and fire it. Firing it clears the way to the last stone item, which you then collect to close out the region.

Confirming full completion

You have cleared everything the Outskirts of Mammon offers once the region map is filled in, both Smuggler’s Hideout and Hag’s Pit are looted, all trials are cleansed, and every stone listed above sits in your inventory. Vlas should have handed over the Scribe’s Note, and the catapult should already be fired with its stone item claimed.

From here, the natural next step is south across the Road of Absolution toward Castigator’s Keep, which branches out to Sester’s Refuge, the Deserted Slums, and the Vestige of Infinity. Note that the Road of Absolution is a tough crossing on first arrival. Watch for the Knight of Mammon’s roll attack, which can knock you off the edge, and consider clearing the western Gate of Mammon first if you want an easier approach.
