Getting shot in WARDOGS does not immediately end the life you paid for. You drop into a downed state, your body stays on the field, and the clock starts running on whether anyone nearby thinks you are worth the walk. The game gives you a blunt tool to change that math: cash, offered straight out of your own wallet, to whoever picks you up.

Quick answer: While downed, press F1 to add $50 to your revive bribe, up to a $500 maximum. The amount appears next to your icon on the map, and the teammate who revives you collects it.

How the revive bribe works in WARDOGS

The bribe is a cash pot you build while bleeding out. It does not heal you, speed up a revive, or force anyone to come. All it does is attach a visible price tag to your body so nearby players can rank you against every other casualty on the field. That matters most when you go down pushing an objective, where three or four people may be lying in the dirt at the same time.

The money comes out of your own balance, and your balance follows your account rather than the match. Reviving is already worth doing on its own, since medical work feeds Medic progression and pays cash, so the bribe simply stacks another incentive on top of a reward the rescuer was going to get anyway.

Downed screen options: give up, call for help, or bribe

The moment you are knocked, the screen lists three choices. They are not mutually exclusive, and the bribe is the only one that costs you anything.

OptionInputEffect
CALL FOR HELPOn-screen promptFlags your position to squadmates
+ BRIBE + $50F1Adds $50 to the pot, up to $500
GIVE UPOn-screen promptEnds the life and sends you to redeploy

Call for help first, then raise the bribe. The marker tells people where you are, and the cash tells them why you are the body worth crossing open ground for.

How to raise the bribe to $500

Stay in the downed state instead of hitting GIVE UP. The bribe controls only exist while you are bleeding out, and the counter starts at TOTAL BRIBE $0.
Press F1 once. Each press adds $50 and updates the running total on screen. The prompt itself reads “+ BRIBE + $50”, so there is no menu to dig through.
Keep tapping F1 until the total reaches the amount you want. Ten presses takes you from $0 to the ceiling of $500, and the counter stops accepting more after that.
Talk while you wait, if you have voice. Telling a teammate where the shooter is does more for your odds than the last $200 of the pot.

What the bribe looks like to your teammates

Open the map and every downed friendly shows up with their offer printed beside them. A body sitting at $500 stands out immediately next to one still at $50, which is the entire point of the system.

1$50+$50.00
2$100+$100.00
10$500+$500.00

Distance is the other half of the decision. A rescuer looking at your marker is also looking at how far they would have to travel and what sits between them and you, so a large pot on the wrong side of an open bridge often goes unclaimed.

Collecting a bribe as the rescuer

Walk up to the downed player and press F to start the revive. The prompt appears when you are close enough and in line with the body, and the payout is handed over automatically once the revive completes.

Bare hands work, but they are slow. A Field Resuscitator, unlocked at Medic level 2, gets people up faster and is a single-use item, and the Defibrillator arrives further along the Medic track at level 11. Whichever tool you use, the revive holds you in place for its full duration.

Clear the angle before you commit. Smoke, a tree line, or a teammate watching the lane that killed the casualty in the first place is worth more than the $500 you are chasing, because a failed attempt turns one body into two.

A revived player comes back hurt. Patch them with a Bandage, which costs $200 and weighs 0.08 kg, before pushing back into the same fight.

What the bribe costs you

Your wallet is account-persistent and never resets between matches, so anything you put into a bribe is money that would otherwise sit there for your next loadout. Whether an unclaimed pot returns to your balance has not been confirmed.

Weigh it against what dying actually costs. Gear bought during a life refunds at 90% when you bleed out, so the real loss is the 10% tax plus the time spent rebuilding and walking back. If you are carrying an expensive rifle or a stack of medical equipment, a $500 offer to save that life is cheap. If you deployed with a rifle and two bandages, it usually is not.

How to confirm the bribe registered

  • The downed screen readout changes from TOTAL BRIBE $0 to your current total, up to TOTAL BRIBE $500.
  • Your marker on the map carries the matching label, such as +$100.00 or +$500.00.
  • After the pickup, the rescuer sees a revive reward notification with the cash and XP awarded.

Used well, the bribe is less a bounty and more a signal. It tells the squad which casualty to prioritize when three markers are flashing at once, and it turns support play into a steady income stream for the people willing to run in and get you.
