Rituals are the spell-like abilities you cast in and out of combat in Welcome to Elderfield. Some fire damage at enemies, others heal, shield, weaken foes, or warp you around town. You start with almost none of them, and the rest are scattered across shops, defeated enemies, gift-giving NPCs, and sealed chamber doors.
Quick answer: You begin with Energy Blast; every other Ritual is bought from the Mall vending machine, looted from a defeated enemy, gifted by an NPC, or found behind chamber doors in the Old Woods and Sewers.

Energy Blast is in your list from the moment you start. It costs 2 MP and fires a weak bolt of energy. It stays your reliable filler attack until you buy or find something stronger. You also begin with the basic Guard defensive skill, though that sits alongside your Rituals rather than being one of them.
Rituals in the Mall
The Mall is the richest early source of Rituals. One is free, one drops from an enemy, and three come from a vending machine.
Warp (free)
Head to Mall F1 and step into Ultra Video, the first shop after you enter. Walk to the Shopper on the far right, standing by the SALE sign and the camera display, and talk to them to receive Warp. It costs nothing to cast and sends you straight home, which makes it worth grabbing before you explore deeper.
Dark Shield (3 MP)
Dark Shield comes from a Ritual tome dropped by the Office Slime blocking the Mall F1 Hallway door, down in the southern snack and hallway area. Defeat it and loot the tome to learn the skill. It raises your Defense and Magic Defense by 20% for three turns and grants +1 Recovery.
Vending machine tomes
The Mall vending machine sells three Ritual tomes. Buy a tome, then use it from your inventory to learn the skill. Lesser Mending costs 25 Gold, restores 20 HP with +1 Recovery, and can be cast outside battle. Cosmic Premonition costs 50 Gold and cuts enemy Attack and Defense by 20% for three turns while giving +1 Recovery. Torrent of Darkness costs 100 Gold and hits every enemy with Darkness damage.
The same machine stocks combat skill tomes such as All or Nothing (25 Gold) and Heavy Blow. Those are ordinary skills, not Rituals, so they will not appear in your Rituals menu.

Rituals from NPCs
Dark Blast (5 MP)
Old Man Jackson hands over Dark Blast once you finish the Build-A-Wife quest. His home sits to the northeast of yours, the dark wooden house with a red mask hung outside. The Ritual deals Darkness damage, grants +1 Fatal, and can inflict the Hex curse.
Ghost Blast (5 MP)
Ghost Blast is a gift from Pete, the laundry ghost in the apartment building’s laundry room, north of your home. To earn it, complete his task by praying at two full-sized God Shrines. One is in the Mall near the food court; the other is in the sewers, reached from the park after you give the Gatekeeper a slice of pizza and open the gate with the lost Gate Key from the back-right kitchen counter inside Burgers Burgers. The Ritual deals Curse damage, grants +1 Fatal, and can inflict Fear.
Rituals found through exploration
Energizing Blast (Library)
Energizing Blast waits inside the Library. Take the path to the left above the Jogger’s club, then head north. The Library layout changes each week, so if the tome is not there, keep returning and searching on later visits until it appears. Its effect is a 15% chance to generate 1 AP.
Pumpkin Blast and Chaos Thorns (chamber doors)
Two Rituals are tied to sealed chamber doors in later areas. Pumpkin Blast unlocks after you open the chamber doors in the Old Woods, and Chaos Thorns unlocks after opening the chamber doors in the Sewers. Chaos Thorns is sometimes written as “Chaos Torns,” but it refers to the same skill.

Confirming a Ritual is unlocked
After you buy a tome, defeat the Office Slime, or receive a gift, use the tome from your inventory when prompted. A learned Ritual then appears in your Rituals menu, and utility options such as Warp and Lesser Mending become selectable there outside of combat as well. If a skill is not showing up, you likely still hold the unused tome, or you have not yet met the trigger, such as clearing the Build-A-Wife quest for Dark Blast or opening the relevant chamber doors for Pumpkin Blast and Chaos Thorns.
