Simon’s night at the motel is a race for money and puzzle pieces, and every system in Welcome to the Game 3 feeds back into two things: earning DOS Coin and finding the eight Keys that clear the debt. Four rival players are chasing the same Keys, killers are circling, and the Dark Net’s 52 sites are mostly dead ends. The mechanics below are deterministic, so once you know how VirtMesh, A.C.R.S., and the hacking minigames behave, the run stops being guesswork.
Quick answer: Mine DOS Coin by hopping between VirtMesh computers before each one locks you out, keep a Backdoor hack installed so every countered intrusion pays out, raise Rep by filling video requests on A.C.R.S. using ShadowFetch, and locate the eight numbered Key Hashes on live Dark Net pages before paying an A.C.R.S. agent to decrypt them.
Farm DOS Coin with VirtMesh mining
VirtMesh is the first tool you install, and it is the backbone of your income. You select a computer on the network and either mount it (hack in) or mine it (steal coins passively). The catch is that a hijacked PC will lock you out if you sit on it too long, so you have to keep rotating between machines to keep the coins flowing.

To break into a machine you run INJ3KT-R, a grid minigame where you path a route from A to B using the arrow keys, always alternating between light and dark tiles. Fail the route and that computer is closed off. Which users are online is randomized each run, but higher-tier hardware mines noticeably faster than low-tier boxes, so prioritize the top of the list whenever it is available.
| Computer | DOS Coin / min |
|---|---|
| Pheonix | 4.79 |
| OpsHex | 3.23 |
| SecCrux | 2.73 |
| GameDrux | 2.57 |
| PrintYiv | 2.43 |
| FileNuz | 1.88 |
| DevTyx / WebTyk | 1.84 |
| UserJyx | 1.80 |
| VM_Wekl | 1.74 |
| NetVorn | 1.45 |
| CloudFuz | 0.88 |
| SysBlip | 0.87 |
| DevQuix | 0.64 |
| IT_Kwez | 0.42 |
| DataRax | 0.32 |
| WorkZap / Codeplyx / LogJuk | 0.30–0.31 |
Two smaller income streams round things out. You can sell useful information you dig up on the Dark Net through the notes app, and you can gamble spare cash on the in-game slot machine for a bigger, riskier payout. Neither is reliable enough to replace VirtMesh, but they help when coins are tight.
Tip: Always keep a Backdoor hack on you. Every hacking attempt you counter pays out DOS Coin, so going in without one leaves free money on the table.

Add to Google Preferences →Protect your DOS Coin from Lucas and rivals
Your balance is a target. Lucas tries to rob you every time he visits the motel, and rival NPCs send hackers to drain your account so you fall behind on DarkDrop gear and killer services.
Lucas cannot take anything if the computer is off when he reaches the back door. Click the power button in the bottom-left corner to shut down the moment you hear him, and place motion sensors so you get enough warning to react in time. Against incoming hacks, the NOP Sled lets you skip the defense minigame entirely.
The counter-hack system cuts both ways. If a rival has a Backdoor installed, a failed hack against them backfires and a small DOS Coin fee is deducted from your account. But if you hit an NPC who has no Backdoor and they fail to defend, you skim a portion of their DOS supply and set back their own spending. In a pinch, you can convert DOS Coin to YoloYen through BitHit, spam the Merramun gambling app, and cash winnings back through BitHit for a profit.
Build Rep through A.C.R.S. requests
Rep is earned mainly by completing NPC requests on A.C.R.S., the global chat room where rivals, hackers, dealers, and other Dark Web users gather. Treat the requests like side quests. The room resets every half hour, so PING any user whose job interests you to keep their request active before it clears. Successfully evading a hack also grants Rep XP.

The most valuable jobs are video file requests, and they run through ShadowFetch, an app that converts URLs into MP4s. The workflow is straightforward. Gather Fetch URLs off the Dark Net, convert and download them as MP4 on ShadowFetch, then sell them for both DOS Coin and Rep. Converting costs DOS Coin, so only pay the fee once you know a user actually wants that specific file.
NPCs also ask for plain website URLs, which you can find on the Dark Wiki. Even when the network blocks you from opening a site, you can still copy and paste its URL to fulfill the request. Any dealer at your Rep level, or any user asking for URLs, videos, or offering a job, can be selected by username and pinged to open a private CryptChat thread.
Find and decrypt the eight Key Hashes
You need eight Keys to end the night, and they spawn randomly each new game. Because sites can be always open, timed, or inaccessible, knowing what a Key looks like saves you clicks you cannot spare during a threat window. A visible Key appears in plain sight as a number between one and eight followed by a short, random string of letters and numbers.
Keys hide three ways on a live site. They sit in plain text on the page, they hide behind a clickable page element that plays a sound when triggered, or they are buried in the page’s source code. To surface a hidden Key Hash on a page, hover directly over letters and images until your cursor becomes clickable. To read the source code, click the magnifying glass in the top-right corner of the A.N.N. browser, where any Key Hash is written out in full. Always grab both the index and the hash before you decrypt.
Finding a Key is not the finish line. Unlike earlier entries, you must pay an agent inside A.C.R.S. to decrypt each one. New site lists come from Dark Wiki pages, which appear as .ann URLs you copy and paste into A.N.N. to load a fresh directory. Roughly half of the 52 sites are real, so leaning on Wiki pages keeps you off the permanently offline decoys.
Block hacks: the five defense minigames
Incoming hacks begin at 9:30pm and get harder as the night goes on, because rivals spend more to slow you down and set up assassination attempts. Countering a hack requires clearing one of five minigames, each testing a different skill. Harder versions add more blocks, nodes, or tokens and can strip out the visual hints entirely.

| Minigame | How to clear it |
|---|---|
| K3RN3LC0MP1L3R | Retype each highlighted line exactly, then press Enter. A wrong character turns red, so clear it with Backspace before continuing. |
| memDEALLOCATER | Read the memory block from the bottom up. Press A for a green left side, D for green right, and Space when both sides are green, before the line reaches the bottom. |
| shiftSEQ | Move with WASD onto infected red nodes and mash Space to destroy them. Return to the home node and press Space when the pulse overlaps its outline to recharge. |
| stackPUSHER | Click the pusher node to pick it up, then click a space to place it, and shove stack nodes into the delete node. Never place a node on a skull tile or you fail instantly. |
| TOKENINE | Click the token pieces in the order shown to rebuild the authorization token. Always pick something before the timer runs out, since a wrong guess still beats an auto-fail. |
In shiftSEQ, standing inside an infected node blocks its attacks, and you can pass through node attacks without damage. You only take connection damage when an attack reaches the home node while you are elsewhere, so recharge on time and keep clearing until every infected node is gone.
Send killers after the competition
You can turn the game’s killers against your rivals, though it is one of the priciest plays available. Contact a user on A.C.R.S. and pay a fee to doxx a competitor, then reach a second contact who uses that gathered info to send out a hit. It is expensive, but well worth it near the end of the run when every rival you remove is one fewer racer for the final Keys.
Everything in the night connects back to the same loop. Steady VirtMesh income funds the security gear that keeps Lucas and rival hackers off your balance, Rep from A.C.R.S. unlocks better dealers and services, and both let you decrypt Keys faster than the four players hunting the same eight pieces. Keep the coins moving, keep a Backdoor loaded, and treat every locked door and motion sensor as part of the economy rather than a distraction from it.
