Quick answer: In the Clock Tower, descend to the lowest level of The Way of the Fist puzzle room to find the Claymore in a golden chest. From the Foundry Apex Mirror of Life, ride the cage elevator upward to Builder’s Secret Elevator.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse features the Claymore as a Refined two-handed sword. To claim it, navigate a compact puzzle chamber involving chained crusher blocks, a grapple point, and a lever-operated gate.

Where the Claymore is

The chest is in the Clock Tower, inside The Way of the Fist, which is the puzzle room directly above Builder’s Secret Elevator. It is an ornate golden chest on the bottom floor of that room, set between two locked gates and right below a purple grapple diamond.

  • Area: Clock Tower
  • District: The Way of the Fist
  • Nearest Mirror of Life: Foundry Apex
  • Container: A golden chest rests beneath a purple grapple diamond, positioned between two gates

You can also pull up the Claymore on the interactive map, which opens directly on its marker. For the rest of the area’s pickups, there is a checklist of all items in the Clock Tower.

How to reach the chest

The route runs from the Foundry Apex mirror, up the cage elevator, and down through the puzzle room. Interact is E on PC.

From the Foundry Apex Mirror of Life, take the doorway on the left. In the room beyond, find the cage elevator beneath the FOUNDRY APEX banner.

Enter the cage; when the interaction prompt appears, press E. It will carry you upward to Builder’s Secret Elevator.
At the upper end of Builder’s Secret Elevator, pass through the doorway; beyond it lies The Way of the Fist.
From the upper walkway of the puzzle room, drop through the floor in the middle. You land on a ledge below.
Head to the far left of that ledge and drop down the gap there.
Strike the glowing switch on the wall at the bottom of the gap.
Use your whip on the room’s central purple diamond and swing beyond the stone crusher block. Release above the platform on your right.

Each crusher block is suspended by chains; if one falls while Rose is below it, it crushes her. Time every crossing before swinging.

On the platform’s far-right side, smash through the cracked stone wall.
Drop down the shaft behind it, staying along the right wall. You land on a small ledge next to a lever.
Pull the lever with E. The gate below opens.
Once you reach the bottom floor, move left beneath the arch; the golden chest is positioned between the two gates.
Press E at the chest to open it. The Claymore weapon card appears on screen once the chest opens.
