Quick answer: Begin at the Realm of Old Night Mirror of Life and enter the Throat of Hell. From the ledge by the left wall, grapple the central yellow ring two times, then catch the ring over the upper-left ledge. The relic makes guard-broken enemies stay stunned 50% longer.
Where the Ebony Claw is
The relic is in the Throat of Hell, a tall red shaft in the Catacombs of Paris. The first time you enter, the game shows a “MAP UPDATED / THROAT OF HELL” banner.
Travel right twice from Realm of Old Night to reach the shaft; the nearest Mirror of Life is Realm of Old Night.
Look for a small cavern near the shaft’s upper-left corner. The chest sits at the right end of a stone ledge, beyond a purple glowing marker. The cavern remains dark until Rose enters, making it easy to swing past unnoticed. How to reach the cavern
The climb uses two yellow grapple rings. Swing back to the left and grapple the first ring again to gain height before grappling the second ring.
What the Ebony Claw does
Opening the chest brings up the EBONY CLAW relic card, which confirms you have it. The effect reads:
“Breaking an enemy’s guard stuns them for 50% longer.”
When an enemy’s guard breaks, its stun lasts 50% longer, giving you extra time to attack. The flavour text reads: “Gravediggers wore this pendant to ward off what refused to remain underground.”
