Born For This is a Wandering Tales quest in Where Winds Meet, filed under Licheng Terrace Part 2 in Qingzhou. It starts with a scholar named Zhong Zifu searching the road between Licheng Terrace and Twilight Bridge for someone he can barely describe. It ends once you reunite him with a swordsman who has spent ten years training in a tomb for a rematch.
Quick answer: Inspect the sword on the beach below the Qingzhou Eastern Peak cliffs and defeat Shen Hanyang. Give his stone shard to Zhong Zifu at Twilight Bridge, talk to Shen Hanyang on the Licheng Terrace hillside, then return to Zhong Zifu.
Born For This locations and quest item
The quest moves between three spots in Qingzhou. Only one item matters, the Stone Shard with a Thumb Carving, which you earn from the fight and later hand over.

Twilight Bridge sits near Greenshade Village, Tranquil Pier, and Licheng Terrace. You will visit the Twilight Bridge road twice, so it is worth unlocking that waypoint early.
In Exploration, open Wandering Tales and track Born For This. Set your course for Qingzhou Eastern Peak’s eastern shore, which lies east of Cliffside Path. The Panorama Terrace waypoint sits atop the nearby cliffs and provides a convenient fast-travel point.
Find the old man standing on a high rock overlooking the sea. You cannot speak to him, so do not wait for a prompt. Drop or glide down to the sandy beach below.
Walk up to the weapons stuck in the sand and choose “Inspect the sword.” A spear also has an inspect prompt, but the sword is the one that brings Shen Hanyang into the scene and starts the duel.
Defeat Shen Hanyang by draining his health bar. After the fight he leaves you the Stone Shard with a Thumb Carving, and the game shows a “New Clue Acquired” notice. The shard appears under the Quest tab of your inventory.
Fast travel to the Twilight Bridge waypoint. Cross the wooden suspension bridge and follow the road until you see Zhong Zifu standing by the roadside, near a Coachman.
Follow the quest marker to the forested hillside by Licheng Terrace, above the Twilight Bridge road. If the marker is hard to follow, check the Wandering Tales details and place your own map marker on the hill.
Find Shen Hanyang sitting behind a large boulder next to a tree on the slope, and talk to him. The conversation covers Lin Xiansheng and what Zhong Zifu wants.
Run back down through the woods to the Twilight Bridge road and speak with Zhong Zifu one last time. Shen Hanyang joins the scene for a final exchange and then leaves heading south.
Born For This rewards and completion check
When Shen Hanyang walks off, a “Born For This (Ending Unlocked)” notice appears and the rewards drop into your inventory. In the Exploration menu under Wandering Tales, the quest now shows as Completed.
