World of Warcraft Forever: How to Get Arrows for Your Bow

Bows in World of Warcraft Forever need arrows to fire, and the cheapest way to keep a full stack is to buy them from a General Goods vendor. Every starter hub, town, and city has one, and the arrows they sell load straight into your quiver.

Quick answer: Open any General Goods vendor, find Rough Arrow on page one, and buy a stack of 200 for 10 copper. In the Orc and Troll starting area, that vendor is Duokna in the Valley of Trials.

Buy Rough Arrows from a General Goods vendor

General Goods merchants stock the basic arrow tiers and refill your ammo for a few coins. For a fresh Horde Orc or Troll hunter, the closest one sits inside the central cave in the Valley of Trials in Durotar.

Head to a settlement or starter hub and locate the General Goods vendor. In the Valley of Trials, run into the main cavern structure where the trainers and merchants gather.

Right-click the vendor to open the shop window. Duokna carries the <General Goods> title, so look for that above the merchant’s name.

At the merchant menu’s first page, purchase Rough Arrow. Each stack contains 200 and costs only 10 copper, so buy however many stacks you need.

Right-click Rough Arrow or drag the stack to your bags to complete the purchase. Rough Arrow requires Level 1 and adds 1.5 damage per second to your ranged attacks.

A quiver like the Light Quiver holds arrows and increases ranged attack speed by 10 percent, so equip one to stretch each stack further.

Vendor arrows by level

As you level up, better arrows become available from vendors in higher-level zones. Each tier raises the damage-per-second bonus and carries a higher required level. Prices below are per stack of 200 before any reputation discount.

Ice Threaded Arrow comes from Alterac Valley quartermasters and needs Honored reputation, so it is not a plain over-the-counter buy like the lower tiers. The rest sit on standard General Goods and weapon vendors as you travel.

Arrows from quests and engineering

A few arrow tiers do not come from a vendor at all. These fill the gaps between the standard purchasable stacks and often carry stronger bonuses.

Feathered Arrow (req 30) — a quest reward, not sold by vendors.
Explosive Arrow (req 37) — a specialist arrow outside the base vendor line.
Thorium Headed Arrow (req 52) — available through a quest turn-in and vendors.
Swiftfeather Arrow (req 60) — crafted through Engineering.

Confirm your arrows are ready

After buying, the arrow stack appears in your bags with its count shown, up to 200 per stack. Load them into your ammo slot or quiver, and your bow is ready to fire. When the arrows are equipped, your ranged damage reflects the tier’s bonus, so a Rough Arrow stack adds its 1.5 damage per second on top of the bow’s base output.
