Stranglethorn Vale sits at the far southern end of the Eastern Kingdoms, but Horde characters do not have to run the entire continent to reach it. A single zeppelin line connects the Undercity directly to Grom’gol Base Camp, and the whole trip takes a few minutes of real time once you are standing on the right platform.
Quick answer: Leave Undercity, climb the zeppelin tower north of the city near Brill, and board the airship managed by Hin Denburg. It lands at Grom’gol Base Camp in Stranglethorn Vale.

If you land on the platform just as the airship pulls away, the next one is only a few minutes out. There is no faster alternative from the Undercity, so waiting beats running south overland.

How to tell the Grom’gol zeppelin from the Orgrimmar one
Two airships share the tower outside the Undercity, and boarding the wrong one lands you in Durotar instead of the jungle. The one that leaves from the east edge of the platform goes to Grom’gol; the west edge serves Orgrimmar.
The safest check is the announcement that plays as the airship pulls in: “The zeppelin to Grom’gol, Stranglethorn has arrived! Please board quickly!” If you are unsure, speaking to the Zeppelin Master standing nearest the dock tells you which destination that ship serves.
In Wrath of the Lich King a second tower was added outside the Undercity, with lines to Vengeance Landing in Howling Fjord on the north side and Thunder Bluff on the south side. Neither of those goes anywhere near Stranglethorn Vale.
The flight route and how to confirm you arrived
After departure the airship climbs over the Ruins of Lordaeron and Balnir Farmstead, then heads south across open water. A world map loading screen appears mid-transit, and the ship reappears over The Savage Coast in the southern Eastern Kingdoms.
From there it tracks over The Vile Reef and descends toward the towers of Grom’gol Base Camp. Stay on the deck for the entire trip; there is nowhere useful to jump off along the way.
You know the trip worked when the airship pulls alongside the wooden landing platform inside the camp and you walk off to the Discovered: Grom’gol Base Camp prompt. Opening the map confirms it, showing your position on the western coast of Stranglethorn Vale rather than in Tirisfal Glades.
Travel connections from Grom’gol Base Camp
Grom’gol is the Horde’s foothold in the jungle, commanded by Commander Aggro’gosh. It has an inn, a mailbox, stables, an anvil and forge, plus class and profession trainers, but no bank and no auction house. Grab the flight point as soon as you land so you never have to repeat the zeppelin trip on foot.

The return zeppelin uses the same tower, which doubles as the camp’s inn. Climb to the top and check which way the dock faces: the side looking out over the water runs to Orgrimmar, and the other side takes you back to the Undercity.
