Three new Sonata Effects are lined up for the Wuthering Waves 3.5 beta, and all of them read like best-in-slot sets for the incoming Mengzhou Resonators. Two lean heavily toward damage dealers, while one quietly carries a support-friendly bonus tied to Energy Regen. Here is exactly what each set does and who it appears built for.

Quick answer: The three leaked 3.5 sets are Song of Feathered Trace (Havoc/Glacio, Energy Regen scaling), Heart of Evil’s Purge (Aero, Crit DMG and Aero DMG), and Lamp of Nether Road (Fusion, Max HP and shield-based Crit Rate).

Song of Feathered Trace set bonuses

This is the dual-attribute set of the bunch, switching its payout based on the kind of damage condition you apply. The two-piece grants Energy Regen +10%, while the five-piece splits into two separate buffs.

  • Inflicting Havoc Bane grants Xuanling’s Feather, raising the wearer’s Crit. Rate by 20% and Heavy Attack DMG Bonus by 20% for 15 seconds.
  • Inflicting Glacio Chafe grants Chongming’s Feather, raising the whole party’s ATK by 0.1% for every 1% of the wearer’s Energy Regen, up to 25%, for 10 seconds.

Because the five-piece responds to both Havoc and Glacio conditions, this set lines up with Havoc and Glacio carries. That points squarely at Yangyang: Xuanling, the game’s first SP character, and Suisui, the Glacio Resonator.

Heart of Evil’s Purge set bonuses

Heart of Evil’s Purge is the straightforward Aero damage set. The two-piece adds Aero DMG +10%. The five-piece triggers when you inflict Tune Strain – Shifting, granting Crit. DMG +20% and Aero DMG Bonus +30% for 15 seconds.

No specific Resonator has been tied to this set yet, but the bonuses make it clear that at least one of the new characters will be an Aero damage dealer who works around Tune Strain – Shifting.

Lamp of Nether Road set bonuses

This one is the HP-scaling shield set. The two-piece gives HP +10%, and the five-piece keys off gaining a shield rather than a particular attack type.

  • Gaining a Shield raises Crit. Rate by 5% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 4 times.
  • The effect can trigger once every 0.5 seconds.
  • At maximum stacks, the wearer also gains 15% Fusion DMG Bonus.

The Fusion DMG payout plus the HP two-piece points to a Fusion character whose kit scales with Max HP and relies on staying shielded to keep the Crit. Rate stacks active.
