The 2026 Birthday Butterfly is a limited-time Uncommon pet added to Adopt Me during the 9th Birthday Party update on August 7, 2026. It only exists while the birthday event stays live, so getting one now means visiting the celebration area and paying in Bucks before the shop closes.

Quick answer: Go to the 9th Birthday Party event hub at the center of Adoption Island, walk up to the butterfly on its pedestal, and pay 1,500 Bucks to add it to your inventory.

Where to buy the 2026 Birthday Butterfly and what it costs

The pet is sold directly from the event, not hatched from an egg. You interact with the butterfly placed on a pedestal inside the party hub and confirm the purchase.

Head to Adoption Island and find the 9th Birthday Party event hub in the center of the map.
Walk up to the 2026 Birthday Butterfly resting on its pedestal and open the purchase prompt.
Spend 1,500 Bucks to buy one copy. The pet appears in your inventory once the purchase confirms, and you can repeat the purchase to stock up.

What the 2026 Birthday Butterfly looks like

The design is a slender butterfly with a dark blue body and teal wings edged in gold. The wing tips carry pink ribbon-like accents, and its long golden antennae end in small pink diamonds. This makes it easy to tell apart from earlier Birthday Butterfly releases on the pedestal.

How to make the Neon and Mega Neon versions

Both upgraded forms are built by combining full-grown copies of the pet, so you need to buy multiples and age them up before merging. The Neon form takes four copies, and the Mega Neon takes four Neons, which works out to sixteen original butterflies.

FormCopies neededTotal BucksGlow effect
Standard11,500None
Neon46,000Dark pink on antennae tips, parts of the wings, and the back ribbon edges
Mega Neon1624,000Same glowing areas, cycling through rainbow colors

For the Neon, combine four full-grown standard butterflies. For the Mega Neon, first make four separate Neons, then merge those four together. The Buck totals above cover only the purchases, not the age potions or time spent raising each pet to full grown.

How to confirm you secured it before the event ends

Once the purchase goes through, the pet shows up in your inventory and can be equipped like any other pet. Because it is a limited-time item, the pedestal purchase disappears when the 9th Birthday Party update ends, and the only way to get it afterward is trading with other players.

Note: If you plan to build a Neon or Mega Neon later, buy all the copies you need while the event is still running. You cannot restock from the shop once the celebration is over, and each butterfly still has to reach full grown before it can be merged.
