Catch 1 Billion Ducks runs on a tight loop. You shoot ducks during the day, your dog fetches them, you store and sell them for cash, and then you survive a giant boss duck at night. Every upgrade you buy feeds back into that loop, so the fastest way to grow is to spend on the stats that speed up shooting and collecting rather than raw damage.
Quick answer: Early on, put cash into your weapon’s Reload speed and Pellet count before Damage, and upgrade your dog’s Speed and Capacity so it retrieves more ducks per trip. Save feathers to unlock better weapons in the lobby.

The core loop that drives every upgrade
Each in-game day follows the same order, and understanding it tells you where your money should go.
- Shoot flying ducks to knock them down during the day.
- Let your dog retrieve the fallen ducks, including ones that land in the water.
- Carry ducks to the Freezer and press E to store them.
- Sell stored ducks for cash from the Freezer menu.
- Survive the night, defeat the boss duck, and earn feathers plus a cash reward.
Cash pays for weapon and dog upgrades. Feathers unlock entirely new weapons back in the lobby. You can also vote to skip a day by pressing the “Y” key (some sessions use “V”), which pushes you straight toward the boss fight when your storage is full.

Add to Google Preferences →Best weapon upgrades: fire rate before damage
Weapon upgrades are bought with cash from the Freezer menu, and there are three stats to raise.
| Weapon stat | What it does | Early priority |
|---|---|---|
| Reload speed | Cuts the delay between shots so you fire more often | High |
| Pellet count | Puts more pellets in each shot to hit more ducks | High |
| Damage | Increases how much health each hit removes | Lower early, higher for bosses |
Regular ducks go down easily, so pouring cash into Damage early is wasteful. Reload speed and Pellet count let you clear more ducks per second, which fills your Freezer faster and turns into more cash. Damage becomes worth it once boss health starts climbing. A high-health boss like the Devil Duck can carry 700 HP, and a single Damage boost (for example, from 15 to 77) can drop it far more quickly.

Using feathers to unlock new weapons
Feathers are separate from cash. You earn them by defeating night bosses, and you spend them in the lobby to unlock new weapons rather than upgrade the one you already hold. Because a fresh weapon with a better base fire rate outperforms a heavily upgraded starter, prioritize weapons that improve how fast and how widely you can shoot. Keep clearing bosses to build a feather stockpile, then invest in the next weapon tier when it becomes affordable.
Best dog upgrades for faster collection
Your dog is what turns downed ducks into sellable stock, so its stats matter as much as your gun. Dog upgrades are also bought with cash, and you can unlock better companions as you progress.
| Dog stat | What it does | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Speed | Raises walk speed so the dog reaches ducks and returns faster | Fewer ducks left waiting on the field |
| Capacity | Increases how many ducks the dog carries per trip | Cuts down on repeat runs |
| Dexterity | Improves how efficiently the dog handles retrievals | Smoother, quicker fetches |
Speed and Capacity give the biggest early payoff. Raising Speed (for instance, from 65 to 100 walk speed) means the dog covers the map faster, and lifting Capacity from 1 to 2 lets it grab multiple ducks in a single trip. Together they keep your Freezer filling while you keep shooting.

Surviving night boss fights
At night a giant boss duck appears with its own health bar, such as the Scary Duck at 150 HP or the Devil Duck at 700 HP. Defeating it ends the day and pays out cash plus feathers. Aggressive ducks like the Angry Mallard Duck can attack and drain your HP, so treat the fight as survival first.
- Dodge the boss’s attacks instead of standing still and trading hits.
- Clear space in the Freezer during the fight so your dog can keep depositing.
- Focus fire on the boss until its health bar reaches 0 HP.
You know a fight is won when the boss’s health hits zero and the day ends, with cash raining down and an on-screen reward for feathers and the defeat bonus.

Playing with up to four players
Multiplayer supports up to four players in a game. Adding more players raises boss difficulty and increases how many aggressive ducks spawn, but it also makes collection much faster because more guns and dogs are working the same field. If you want quicker cash and feather runs, a full group speeds up the loop as long as everyone helps clear the tougher night waves.
The game is fully free-to-play, and any premium purchases are optional. You can jump into a session from the official Catch 1 Billion Ducks page on Roblox. Spend your first earnings on fire rate and dog collection, save feathers for the next weapon, and add Damage only when boss health starts to slow you down.
