Customizing your mouse pointer in Windows 11 can greatly enhance your user experience. Whether you prefer a different color for better visibility or need to adjust the size for easier tracking, Windows 11 provides straightforward options to personalize your cursor to suit your preferences.

Here’s how you can change the mouse pointer color and size in Windows 11:

Open the Settings app. Click on the Start Menu icon on the taskbar or press the WINDOWS key on your keyboard. Type Settings into the search bar and select the app from the search results.
In the redesigned Settings app, locate the list of options on the left sidebar. Click on Accessibility from the menu.
Under the Accessibility settings, navigate to the Mouse pointer and touch section found under Vision on the right side of the window.

In the Mouse pointer and touch settings, you have the option to modify both the color and size of your mouse pointer.

Changing the Pointer Color

Under Mouse pointer style, you will see four different styles to choose from:

  • White: The default setting where the pointer is white.
  • Black: Changes the pointer color to black.
  • Inverted: The pointer color inverts based on the background; it appears black on a light background and white on a dark background.
  • Custom: Allows you to select a custom color for the pointer.
To choose a custom color, select the Custom option. By default, the pointer will turn lime green. You can pick a different color from the suggested options below or click on Choose another color to open the color picker.
In the color picker window, select your desired color by clicking within the palette. You can adjust the hue and saturation using the slider beneath the palette. Once you’ve selected the perfect color, click Done to apply it to your mouse pointer.

Changing the Mouse Pointer Size

To adjust the size of the mouse pointer, use the slider next to Size in the Mouse pointer and touch settings. Drag the slider to the right to increase the size or to the left to decrease it. The default size is set to ‘1’, and you can increase it up to ’15’. As you move the slider, the pointer size will change in real-time, allowing you to choose the size that best fits your needs.

By personalizing the color and size of your mouse pointer, you can make it more visible and easier to use, enhancing your overall experience with Windows 11. This simple customization ensures that the cursor suits your visual preferences and accessibility needs.
