PEAK The Final Ascent: Every Badge and Cosmetic Unlock

All 10 badges added with the GLOOM and CITADEL biomes, the exact conditions that trigger each one, and the outfit or hat it hands you.

All 10 badges added with the GLOOM and CITADEL biomes, the exact conditions that trigger each one, and the outfit or hat it hands you.

The Final Ascent update closes out PEAK with two fresh biomes, GLOOM and THE CITADEL, and 10 new badges attached to them. Each badge is a hidden objective, and clearing it permanently adds a hat, an outfit, or both to your Passport wardrobe. Every one of these can be earned on any difficulty except Custom.

Quick answer: Complete the listed condition for a badge during a run, and the matching cosmetic unlocks immediately. You can equip it from the Passport at the airport, and the earned badge also appears on your scout sash.

GLOOM badges: Wanderer, Bellringer, Exorcist, Well Rested

GLOOM is the fourth biome, sitting after SHORE, ROOTS, and ALPINE. Four badges live here, and the sleep effect plus roaming Frogs and Ghosts are the main threats to watch.

Wanderer is the simplest. Reach the campfire at the top of GLOOM to move into THE CITADEL, and the badge pops the moment you clear the biome.

Bellringer asks you to find and ring 5 Belltowers across GLOOM in one run. Ringing a Belltower also cancels the sleep effect, so they double as a safety tool while you search the biome.

Exorcist requires burning up a ghost. Set fire to it using a Candlestick found in GLOOM Luggage, a Faerie Light or Faerie Lantern from Ancient Idols and Ancient Luggage, or by ringing a Belltower while the ghost is close.

Well Rested is a single pickup. The Early Worm spawns at random on the ground somewhere in GLOOM, so sweep the area, and once you find it, eat it to complete the badge.

THE CITADEL badges: Archery and Medieval History

THE CITADEL is packed with wall and floor traps that fire arrows. Two badges here pull in opposite directions, so it is hard to chase both in the same run.

Archery wants you to remove 10 arrows from your own body in one expedition. Step on a trap to get shot, then look at the spot where the arrow struck and interact with it to pull it out. Repeat until you hit 10.

Medieval History is the opposite goal. Climb all the way past THE CITADEL without triggering a single trap. Move slowly, scan floors and walls, and let a teammate scout ahead to confirm a safe path if you are in co-op.

Loot and item badges: Jester, Hang Gliding, Last Resort

These three depend on finding specific items rather than reaching a biome, so luck and preparation matter.

Jester needs 3 Clown Luggage opened in one expedition. Clown Luggage spawns at random in every biome and is marked with a clown face, so check each case you pass.

Hang Gliding requires a 100m flight with the Glider without landing. Pull the Glider from Luggage, climb as high as you can, then jump and glide in one direction until the badge unlocks. Gliding drains stamina, so start with a full bar.

Last Resort is co-op only. Get the Ritual Dagger from an Ancient Idol or Ancient Luggage, drop your own health below 25%, then backstab and sacrifice your teammate to heal over 75% damage at once.

Rule Zero: free the Scoutmaster’s soul

Rule Zero is the longest challenge of the update and the one to save for a full, careful run. It sends you into the hidden NADIR biome and back.

Collect all four Scout Gems. One is hidden in each of the SHORE, ROOTS, ALPINE, and GLOOM biomes, so you need to gather them across a single climb up to the PEAK.
Reach the PEAK and place all four gems into the Scout Statue. This opens the route down into NADIR.
Enter NADIR, commune with the Scoutmaster’s soul, then return to the PEAK. Completing that return frees the soul and awards the badge.

Once a badge is earned, its cosmetic is yours permanently and stays unlocked across every future run. Open the Passport at the airport to equip the new hats and outfits, and your climbers will show off the matching badges on the scout sash for the rest of your teammates to see.
