Ascension turns spare copies of a unit into permanent stat gains in Anime Origins. Instead of selling duplicates you pull from summons, you feed them back into the same unit to raise its Ascension Level, and each level adds a passive bonus that stays active in every battle.
Quick answer: Visit the Ascension NPC beside the Summon station, pick an eligible unit, and spend duplicates plus Fuse Chips to raise its Ascension Level. Fuse Chips come from the Rift Shop for Cursed Tickets, and the maximum rank is Ascension V.
What Ascension does and where to find it
Ascension fuses duplicates of a single unit to increase that unit’s stats. Because summoning is heavily RNG-based, you will collect repeat copies while chasing the pulls you actually want, and those extras become the fuel for this system rather than shop filler.
The Ascension NPC stands near the Summon station. Approach it to open the Ascension screen, where the game shows which units currently qualify for a fusion. Select a unit there to begin.

Add to Google Preferences →Fuse Chips and Fusion Cores you need
Every fusion consumes Fuse Chips. You buy these from the Rift Shop using Cursed Tickets, so keep a stock on hand before you plan to rank a unit up.
High-rarity units create a problem, since pulling duplicates of something like Valcrad is extremely rare. For those cases you can raise a unit’s Ascension Level by one using a Fusion Core instead of a duplicate. Fusion Cores only drop from Raid battles and are very scarce, so it is worth saving them for your rarest units rather than spending them on common ones.
| Resource | Where to get it | Best use |
|---|---|---|
| Unit duplicate | Summons | Standard fuel for most units |
| Fuse Chips | Rift Shop (Cursed Tickets) | Required for every fusion |
| Fusion Cores | Raid battles | Rank up rare units without a duplicate |
Every Ascension Level bonus
Ascension runs from I to V, and each level applies a fixed passive bonus that is always in effect once unlocked. These stack as you climb, so a fully ascended unit carries all five.
| Ascension Level | Bonus |
|---|---|
| Ascension I | +3% Damage |
| Ascension II | +5% Range |
| Ascension III | +5% Damage |
| Ascension IV | +25% Crit Chance |
| Ascension V | +25% Crit Damage |
These gains are smaller than what Traits provide, but they still matter. In endgame content such as Raid battles, the extra crit chance and crit damage from the higher ranks can tip a close fight in your favor.
How to ascend a unit

You will know it worked when the unit’s Ascension Level updates on the screen and the matching stat bonus is added to its profile. All Ascension boosts are permanent and remain active from that point on.
Ascension rewards patience with your duplicates. Feed common copies into the units you already rely on, keep Fuse Chips topped up from the Rift Shop, and hold your Fusion Cores for the rare pulls that will never hand you a second copy on their own.
