Sigrid is the S-Rank Ice Attack agent introduced in Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.1, and she is built around a single loop: land an Unbridled Spear attack, enter the Aerial Patrol Spear state, then cash in a stronger Basic Attack: Converging Spear. Get that loop running and she hands you a huge free CRIT Rate bonus, which changes how you gear her compared to most on-field carries.
Quick answer: Equip Knight’s Extolment, run 4-piece Dawn’s Bloom with 2-piece Branch & Blade Song, main-stat CRIT DMG on Disc 4, Ice DMG on Disc 5, and ATK% on Disc 6, then pair her with a Stun agent and Astra Yao.
How Aerial Patrol Spear and Converging Spear work
Her Core Passive, Sky Knight, tags several moves as Unbridled Spear attacks: the fourth hit of her Basic Attack combo, EX Special Attack, Dodge Counter, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, and Ultimate. Hitting an enemy with any of them puts her into Aerial Patrol Spear and grants one use of Basic Attack: Converging Spear. If she is already in the state, the hit refreshes it and grants another use instead.
Converging Spear has three stages, and each use pushes it one stage higher before resetting after the third. Stage 3 is her biggest hit. The catch is that the Aerial Patrol Spear window shrinks as you climb, from 8 seconds at Stage 1 to 7 at Stage 2 and 6 at Stage 3, so you have to keep feeding it Unbridled Spear attacks. If the state does drop, you only lose one stage rather than the whole sequence.
Every time the state triggers or refreshes, her CRIT Rate goes up by 66% for 8 seconds, and repeat triggers extend that up to 40 seconds. That single line is why her build skews so heavily toward CRIT DMG. Her Chain Attack adds Tempered, a 20% damage boost to subsequent Converging Spear attacks for 50 seconds, and on a Stunned Elite or Boss it opens Formation Breaker, during which Aerial Patrol Spear stops ticking down so you can run all three stages back to back.
Her Additional Ability, Legion of the Skies, only comes online when another Assist or Stun agent is in the squad. It gives up to +840 ATK at max level and 15% more damage against enemies under Contamination, which effectively locks one team slot.

Add to Google Preferences →Best W-Engines for Sigrid
Knight’s Extolment is her signature and the clear best option. At level 60 it carries 713 base ATK and 48% CRIT DMG, and its Knight’s Rite passive grants a Battle Edge stack when a Basic Attack or EX Special Attack heavy hit connects. Each stack is worth 32% CRIT DMG for 25 seconds, capped at two stacks with one per skill type, so you are looking at 64% CRIT DMG at R1. At two stacks she also gains Bonechill, ignoring 20% of the target’s Ice RES.

| W-Engine | Rank | What it gives her |
|---|---|---|
| Knight’s Extolment | S | 48% CRIT DMG substat, up to 64% more CRIT DMG from Battle Edge, and 20% Ice RES ignore at two stacks |
| Deep Sea Visitor | S | 24% CRIT Rate substat, 25% Ice DMG, and stacking CRIT Rate from Basic and Dash Attacks |
| Myriad Eclipse | S | 45% CRIT DMG plus 25% DEF ignore for 3 seconds after Ice damage from EX Special, Chain Attack, or Ultimate |
| The Brimstone | S | 30% ATK substat and stacking ATK from Basic Attacks, Dash Attacks, and Dodge Counters |
| Cannon Rotor | A | 20% CRIT Rate and a bonus 200% ATK hit on critical strikes, once every 8 seconds |
| Marcato Desire | A | 20% CRIT Rate and 6% ATK on EX Special or Chain Attack hits, doubled against enemies under an Attribute Anomaly |
Note: Deep Sea Visitor and Cannon Rotor both pile on CRIT Rate, which partly overlaps with her Core Passive. They still work, but if you already sit near the crit ceiling during Aerial Patrol Spear, an ATK or CRIT DMG engine converts better.
Best Drive Discs and stat priority
Converging Spear is classified as a Basic Attack, so Basic Attack damage bonuses apply to her single biggest hit. That makes 4-piece Dawn’s Bloom the default set: 15% Basic Attack damage at two pieces, another 20% at four, and a further 20% for Attack specialists after using an EX Special Attack or Ultimate. Fill the last two slots with Branch & Blade Song for 16% CRIT DMG.

Woodpecker Electro is the fallback 4-piece if your Dawn’s Bloom rolls are poor. It gives 8% CRIT Rate and 9% ATK after critical hits from Basic Attacks, Dodge Counters, or EX Special Attacks. Polar Metal and Astral Voice are workable two-piece partners alongside Branch & Blade Song.
| Disc slot | Main stat | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Slot 4 | CRIT DMG | Her Core Passive already supplies up to 66% CRIT Rate, so CRIT DMG scales better here |
| Slot 5 | Ice DMG Bonus | Matches her attribute; PEN Ratio is the alternative against high-DEF targets |
| Slot 6 | ATK% | Multiplies every Converging Spear stage |
Substat priority runs CRIT DMG, then CRIT Rate, then ATK%, then PEN. Only chase CRIT Rate substats if you notice non-crits landing while Aerial Patrol Spear is active.
Skill leveling order
Core Skill comes first and it is not close, since the CRIT Rate bonus and the entire Unbridled Spear mechanic live there. Basic Attack is next because Converging Spear counts as one. After that, EX Special Attack, then Chain Attack and Ultimate, then Dodge Counter. Assist goes last.

Sigrid rotation
You will know the loop is working when the Aerial Patrol Spear indicator stays lit between Converging Spear casts and the stage counter climbs instead of resetting. If it keeps falling back to Stage 1, you are spending too long between Unbridled Spear attacks.
Best Sigrid team comps
She needs a Stun or Assist agent in the squad to switch on her Additional Ability, and she wants long, reliable Stun windows to dump Formation Breaker into.
| Team | Notes |
|---|---|
| Sigrid, Norma, Astra Yao | Premium setup. Norma stuns fast and adds off-field support; Astra Yao layers ATK and CRIT DMG buffs plus healing |
| Sigrid, Norma, Sunna | Alternative when Astra Yao is unavailable |
| Sigrid, Dialyn, Astra Yao | Swaps the stunner while keeping the buffer |
| Sigrid, Lycaon, Soukaku | Free-to-play Ice core with DEF shred and Ice buffs |
| Sigrid, Anby, Soukaku | Budget option using standard-banner agents |
Sigrid ascension and skill materials
Farm these before her banner ends so you are not stalled at a promotion gate. Skill costs below are the totals for maxing a single skill, and core skill costs cover the full upgrade path.

| Purpose | Materials |
|---|---|
| Max promotion | 4x Basic Attack Certification Seal, 32x Advanced Attack Certification Seal, 30x Pioneer’s Certification Seal, 800,000 Denny |
| One skill to max | 5x Basic Freeze Chip, 15x Advanced Freeze Chip, 50x Specialized Freeze Chip, 1x Hamster Cage Pass, 500,000 Denny |
| Core skills | 9x Crimson Miasma Spike, 60x Higher Dimensional Data – Corrupted Dreamsteel, 400,000 Denny |
Mindscape Cinema priorities
M1 grants 25% ATK and is a clean stopping point for anyone who does not want to spend deeply. M6 adds an extra 80%, 90%, or 100% of ATK as Ice DMG on the final hit of Stages 1, 2, and 3, removes the usage limit when entering Formation Breaker via Chain Attack, and speeds up Converging Spear in that state. If you have to choose between M1 and Knight’s Extolment, take the W-Engine.
Sigrid’s ceiling comes from execution rather than raw stat stacking. Once the Aerial Patrol Spear timer stays green and you are consistently landing Stage 3 inside a Stun window, the difference between a good Sigrid and a great one is mostly how well the rest of the squad lines that window up.
