The Cost of Hope expansion for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl drops a fresh batch of locked doors, barred stairwells and wall safes into the Zone, and almost all of them are gated behind a number pad rather than a key. The combinations are short, the keypads are unforgiving, and a few of them sit between you and an exoskeleton.
Quick answer: Walk up to the keypad, hold the interact button, and punch in the combination for that specific door — 1408 for the Power of Mind security door, 171008 for the projector safe, 5342 for the mercury level door, and 211 for the warehouse in The Price of a Miracle. The lock opens immediately; there is no confirm button.

Add to Google Preferences →Shadows of the Past: The Anomalous Apartments locks
The apartment block in the Cement Factory area is where Cost of Hope front-loads most of its locked doors. Six keypads sit inside a fairly small footprint, and the mission keeps looping you back through the same stairwells, so it is easy to walk past one without noticing.
The sniper area door takes 1654 and can be reached early, as soon as the optional Kill the Snipers objective appears. Behind it is a safe stocked with ammo, healing items and grenades. The courtyard green door uses 7812 and turns up after you leave the room where you shoot the lock off the brown door through a hole in the wall — worth remembering, because not every locked door here is a keypad. The looping area door inside the Bubble Dimension is 2469, and that one is mandatory: it moves you into the next stage of the mission rather than hiding loot.

Three more combinations show up in this same stretch of the mission. A mechanical lock on the upper balcony opens with 1745 and hides a green metal box. Cross to the neighbouring building’s balcony after clearing the mutant inside the apartment, and the keypad there is 3791, which unlocks a teal safe. Higher up the staircase, a locked door takes 2596 and simply lets you carry on.
Note: the apartment keypads do not read the same in every run. If a combination is rejected, try the other numbers listed for this mission before assuming you are at the wrong door — the in-world notes and PDAs scattered around the apartments carry the correct value for your playthrough.
Power of Mind: 1408 and the projector puzzle safe
Power of Mind sends you through a flooded facility to a digital keypad on a security door. The code is 1408, and it opens the route deeper into the complex. There is no alternative path around it.

Inside, the mission hands you a small optional puzzle built around a projector. Three slides are hidden in the labs, and running them through the projector on the lab counter is what gets you the safe combination.
The combination is fixed, so you can type it straight in and skip the slide hunt entirely if you only care about the armour.
Dangerous Way: 5342 for the Liberty Exoskeleton
The Dangerous Way mission runs through mercury-contaminated lower levels, which means the approach matters more than the lock itself — bring protective gear and anti-radiation supplies before you descend. Check the marker on your map first so you enter from the right side.

At the bottom, an electronic door lock takes 5342. The reward is the Liberty Exoskeleton, which is the main reason to make the trip at all.
The Price of a Miracle: 211 on the warehouse door
The shortest combination in the expansion is also the easiest to fumble. The warehouse door keypad in The Price of a Miracle takes just three digits — 211 — and does not need padding zeroes. Inside, a blue storage chest holds a Kharod and a supply of ammo for it.
How to tell the code worked, and why a keypad rejects it
A correct combination unlocks the door or safe the moment the final digit goes in. Mission doors also push the objective tracker forward, so if the text in the corner of the screen updates, you entered the right one. Nothing needs confirming and there is no lockout for wrong attempts.
When a code does not take, it is usually one of a few things:
- You are at the wrong keypad. Shadows of the Past packs several locks into the same building, and the apartment doors look nearly identical from the outside.
- The mission has not opened the area yet. Story doors only accept input once the relevant objective is active.
- The lock is not a keypad at all. Some doors in the apartments are opened with a key or by shooting the padlock through a gap in the wall.
- Your run is using a different apartment combination. Read the notes and PDAs in the building rather than retyping the same number.
Everything outside the apartments is static across playthroughs, so 1408, 171008, 5342 and 211 can be entered on sight without hunting for the matching document first. That saves a fair amount of backtracking in the flooded facility in particular, where the projector slides are spread over three separate rooms.
