Black Ops 7: Veytharion Temple Cleansing & Laser Puzzle Guide

Burn the Woven Sash, aim the chamber laser, then hit Veytharion's forehead in the rain.

Burn the Woven Sash, aim the chamber laser, then hit Veytharion’s forehead in the rain.

Cleansing Veytharion’s Temple is the Rex Infernus step that stalls most squads. The Woven Sash is nearly invisible, the laser dial only moves in tiny ticks, and the last shot has to land on a forehead while the map is raining.

Quick answer: Align the Nexus cranks to Veytharion’s Sanctuary, burn the Woven Sash and crush the misted zombie in the Titan Trap, aim the Main Chamber laser at the left barrier wall, then hit the middle of Veytharion’s forehead with Astral Flame while it is raining.

Requirements for the Veytharion Temple cleanse

Nothing in this temple starts until the Nexus Forge is already repaired and you can fire a charged Warden’s Blight shot. The blue well in Veytharion’s Sanctuary also has to be open from the earlier stone blocks puzzle, because rain is required twice.

RequirementWhy it matters
Repaired Nexus Forge (Void Talon)Unlocks the cranks that point a blue light into Veytharion’s mouth
Pack-a-Punched Warden’s BlightCharged shots lift the laser dial, launch the purple orb, and help kill Shadow Souls
Void ClawPulls purple orbs for Astral Flame and the final mouth charge
Blue well in Veytharion’s SanctuaryMakes it rain so the Woven Sash can spawn and the forehead strike can land
Death PerceptionHelps you track the sash, which you cannot see with the naked eye

Align the Nexus Forge to Veytharion’s Sanctuary

The cleanse will not begin until the Forge is aimed at this temple. A lever under Pack-a-Punch flips whether the cranks turn clockwise or counterclockwise. Use that if a pillar starts rotating the wrong way.

Stand at the repaired Nexus Forge and turn the inner, middle, and outer cranks on each surrounding pillar. Keep turning until those pillars face Veytharion’s Sanctuary.
Watch Veytharion’s mouth. A blue light shooting into it is the confirmation that the alignment is locked. If the beam never appears, reverse the crank direction and realign the same three rings.

Woven Sash locations and the Titan Trap

The Woven Sash is Veytharion’s corrupted offering. It only appears while the map is raining, and it sits on ledges you fall past rather than walk up to. Hold interact the entire time you drop, or you will miss it.

Make it rain, then grab the sash

Go to Veytharion’s Sanctuary and interact with the blue well. Wait until rain is active before you start hunting the sash.
Check each spawn below. Jump off the map at that ledge while holding interact. The sash will not show up as a normal world item.
SpawnWhere to drop
Ruinas InsulaBehind the Mystery Box, on the ledge
Spira InsulaThe left rock outside the map
Aranea InsulaLook down from the northwest and drop toward the out-of-bounds rock

Burn the sash and crush the misted zombie

Return to the Nexus Forge, pull a purple orb into Pack-a-Punch without touching it, and turn the cranks to create Astral Flame. Take that flame back and use it on the brazier.
A nearby zombie will pick up a mist. Escort that zombie to Veytharion’s Passage and stand it between the Titan’s fists, then fire the Titan Trap.

The correct fist is the one that makes Veytharion speak after the crush. If you get silence, the offering did not take and you need another misted zombie on the matching trap.

Veytharion Temple laser beam dial

The laser lives on a hidden dial in Veytharion’s Main Chamber, just in front of the same brazier. Jumping on the stone plate is what opens it. A charged Warden’s Blight shot is what lifts it into the air.

Open and lift the dial

Interact with the stone plate in front of the brazier, then keep jumping on it without stopping. It usually takes around 30 jumps before the plate opens and the dial appears. Decoys or Aether Shroud help if zombies keep shoving you off.
Fire a charged Warden’s Blight shot at the dial to raise it. Do not start killing for souls until the disc is floating and you can see the beam.

Aim the beam, then break the stolen statue

Shoot the inner ring of the dial with Warden’s Blight so the beam creeps in small increments. Line that beam up with the wall behind the zombie barrier to the left of the brazier. The outer ring moves too far per shot and is easy to overshoot.
Kill zombies next to the raised dial. Their souls feed the beam until that left-hand wall breaks and a stolen statue is exposed. Shoot the statue once to start the next wave.
Kill the four Shadow Souls that spawn around Veytharion’s Main Chamber. They drop faster to Light Mend and Warden’s Blight. An Abomination also appears, but you do not need to kill that Elite. After the four Shadow Souls are down, destroy the same stone statue you shot to open the fight.

If the wall never cracks, the beam is not sitting on that left barrier. Reset your aim on the inner ring before you spend another round of souls.

Cleanse Veytharion’s Temple with rain and Astral Flame

The last sequence is a two-part charge. First you turn Veytharion’s mouths purple. Then you wait for rain and put Astral Flame on the middle of the forehead.

Use the Void Claw to drag a purple orb into Veytharion’s Passage. Park it just before the stairs, directly under Veytharion’s head.
Hit that orb with a charged Warden’s Blight shot. Veytharion’s mouths should glow purple. If they stay dark, the orb is too far from the head or too high on the stairs.
Go back to Veytharion’s Sanctuary and interact with the blue well again so the next stretch is raining.
Pull a fresh Astral Flame from the Nexus Forge. While the rain is up, shoot that fire into the middle of Veytharion’s forehead.

Lightning striking Veytharion is the completion check. That hit is what cleanses the temple. A miss on dry weather, or a flame that hits anywhere but the center of the forehead, will not finish the step.
