Cash in Steal an Egg is not only about which pet you hatched. A mutation on that pet multiplies whatever it already makes, so the same species can be worth far more with the right variant and barely more with the wrong one.

Steal an Egg mutation multipliers
Five mutations exist. Each one is a cash multiplier on the pet that carries it. Spirit Bloom sits alone at the top. Rainbow is the strongest option that can appear without the incubator.

On the same pet, Spirit Bloom produces well over twice the cash of Silver. Rainbow also beats both Golden and Bloom, which is why a 2.5x spawn can out-earn an incubator roll that only hits Bloom.
Golden, Silver, and Rainbow from egg spawn
Three mutations can land when an egg spawns, or during Admin Abuse. Silver is the smallest bump at 1.25x. Golden doubles cash. Rainbow multiplies by 2.5x.
Steal the largest egg in each biome. That raises the odds of putting a mutation on a bigger pet, and a bigger mutated pet earns more. Rainbow is the spawn you want if you have not reached the incubator yet, because nothing in this group pays more.
Sakura Incubator mutations
Bloom and Spirit Bloom do not come from ordinary egg spawns. Both come from the Sakura Incubator. Bloom multiplies cash by 1.5x, which puts it above Silver and below Golden. Spirit Bloom multiplies cash by 3x and is the highest multiplier in the game.
Spirit Bloom is also the rarest mutation. The incubator awards it at a 2.5 percent chance. Reaching that machine is late-game work. It sits in the end-game zone, and you need enough speed to handle the boss that guards that part of the map.
Note: Unlocking the incubator does not guarantee an upgrade. Bloom is weaker than Rainbow and Golden. Only Spirit Bloom outpaces every spawn mutation.
Fusion risk and egg size
Mutated pets can be fused, and the mutation can survive that fuse. The chance of keeping it drops hard when one or more of the pets has no mutation. In that case, you are likely to lose the variant.
If you are choosing what to chase, the math is simple. Spirit Bloom pays the most. Rainbow is the strongest mutation that can appear on a normal spawn. Silver is still a mutation, just not one that changes a session on its own.
