During Aaron’s flashback to the Amsterdam hotel, the story stops until you collect three of Agnes’ relics from the bedroom. This happens in the prologue of 1666: Amsterdam, just before the ritual scene that Clio’s father narrates. All three items sit inside the same room, and you can pick them up in any order as long as you gather every one.
Quick answer: Search the shelf in the right corner by the mirror for the Dry Leaves, open the chest near the large window for four candles (pick up all four separately), and search the bag on the sofa for the third relic. Then walk to the bed to start the ritual.

Agnes’ three relics and where they are
Each relic has a fixed spot in the bedroom, and each one uses the same search prompt. Hold the search input when the prompt appears, then confirm to pick the item up.
| Relic | Location in the room |
|---|---|
| Dry Leaves | On the shelf in the right corner, near the mirror |
| Four Candles | Inside the chest by the large window |
| Bag item (sofa) | Inside the bag resting on the sofa |
Note: The item hidden in the sofa bag is described as a Tapestry in some accounts and as a Bedrest in others. Either way, it is the third relic you need, and searching the bag on the sofa reveals it.

Start the ritual to progress
Once all three relics are in hand, including every one of the four candles, walk over to the bed and set up the ritual. Completing it triggers the cutscene that moves the story forward and shows how Aaron becomes a cat, along with his connection to Noa.
If the ritual will not begin, the usual cause is a missing candle. All four have to be collected individually, so return to the chest by the window and confirm none were left behind before you head back to the bed.
