Javelin Anti-Cheat solves the Windows-on-Arm problem

Online multiplayer has been the biggest hurdle for Arm-based Windows machines. Most anti-cheat engines are built for x86 processors and run only on Windows for that architecture, which locks out Arm-based Windows gamers along with Linux players. Without a compatible anti-cheat layer, competitive titles simply refuse to launch.

NVIDIA worked with EA to port the EA Javelin Anti-Cheat system to the RTX Spark Windows-on-Arm platform. Apex Legends previously relied on Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC), and the move to Javelin is what makes online play viable on the new hardware. EA has signaled that other developers could follow the same path with their own anti-cheat systems, which would widen the pool of playable online games over time.


Gaming and creator performance targets

For gaming, NVIDIA cites Arc Raiders running at 1440p with more than 100 FPS while ray tracing and DLSS are enabled. The platform ships with the full DLSS suite, including DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction built on the second-generation transformer model, alongside NVIDIA Reflex for responsiveness and G-SYNC support.

Creators get their own set of concrete capabilities. RTX Spark can render 90 GB 3D scenes using NVIDIA’s OptiX ray tracing engine and edit 8K video with 4:2:2 color thanks to hardware encode and decode. FP4 Tensor Cores and the shared memory pool handle current-generation models, while AV1 encoders and NVIDIA Broadcast cover streaming and audio cleanup.
