Combine moves like 360, no scope, and headshots to stack killscore multipliers and sell your catches for far more.

Trickshots are the fastest way to make a single kill worth more in How to Fish. Instead of firing a plain shot at a fish or creature, you kill it in a flashier way, and the game rewards that style with a killscore multiplier that raises the sale value before you cash out.

Quick answer: Pull off a stylized kill using a move like a 360, No Scope, Headshot, or One Shot One Kill, then chain several of those moves into the same kill. Each move adds its own multiplier, and the multipliers stack on the same target to push the fish’s value up.

What counts as a trickshot

A trickshot is any intentional, harder-than-normal way of finishing a fish or creature. You can land one with a sniper, a regular gun, a knife, or dynamite. The game watches how you get the kill, not what you catch, so the same target can be worth wildly different amounts depending on how you take it down.

There is no single “trickshot button.” Every move on the list below applies its own multiplier, and there is no fixed order you have to follow. That means you are free to mix moves together on one kill and let the multipliers pile up.

Every trickshot move and its multiplier

These are the moves that raise a kill’s value, along with what each one asks you to do. Learn what each move requires first, because combos are just these moves layered onto a single kill.

How to stack multipliers into combos

The real value comes from combining moves on one kill. Because the multipliers stack, a stylish kill is worth far more than a clean one. As an example, a 1.5x 360 with a 1.25x headshot and a 1.25x last bullet on a $1,000 fish works out to roughly $2,343.

Start with the beginner combos to get comfortable, then move up to the advanced chains once your aim and timing are consistent.

Landing a 360 no scope

The 360 no scope is both a core combo piece and its own achievement, so it is worth practicing on its own. The guns in How to Fish are hitscan, meaning there is no bullet travel or drop, so snapping back onto a target the instant you finish spinning is more forgiving than it looks.

Pick a weak, isolated creature that dies in a single shot. The whole trick is timing the kill to land right after the spin, so anything that survives one hit works against you.
Move to open ground and face the target. Note where it sits before you start turning, and keep space around you so nothing collides with you mid-spin.
Rotate a full 360 degrees. Lowering your sensitivity and splitting the turn into two quick mouse swipes makes completing the rotation and re-aiming much easier.
Keep the scope down the entire time. This has to be a hip-fire kill, so never aim down sights at any point.
The moment you finish the rotation, snap back onto the creature and fire from the hip. If the shot does not kill it, reset and try again, since there is real leniency in how the turn is read.

Tip: The easiest window for this is post-game cleanup. After the credits you return to the first island with your full loadout and every island open, so you can line up attempts on a weak creature with no story pressure.

How to confirm a trickshot worked

The game shows the killscore multiplier on screen after the kill. If a multiplier appears, your trickshot registered and the target’s sale value has gone up. If it records no multiplier, simplify the motion and try again on another normal target.

Two achievements mark the edges of this system. “Noob” unlocks for a kill with no multiplier at all, and “Impressive” unlocks when you reach a 5x killscore multiplier, which is the payoff for stacking several moves onto one kill.

When a specific move fails to count, the reason is usually one of a few things. For the 360 no scope, the common misses are aiming down sights, firing before the rotation is fully complete, or picking a target that survives the shot. Confirm the rotation finished, the shot was unscoped, and the target died from that shot rather than a delayed effect before you blame your weapon.

Note: There is no published formula for exactly how far each move multiplies your money, and no confirmed rule for combining a killscore multiplier with the grill’s cooking bonus. Read the value the game actually displays rather than assuming a fixed stacking math.
