Flying UFO in Storage Hunters: Is It Worth Buying?

A breakdown of the limited-time UFO's price, stats, cargo limits, and the one situation where it pays off.

A breakdown of the limited-time UFO’s price, stats, cargo limits, and the one situation where it pays off.

The Flying UFO is a limited-time vehicle in Storage Hunters that costs $27,500,000 in in-game cash or 6,930 Robux. It flies freely, carries loot in a hanging basket, and can reach the Power Plant island without waiting for the ferry. The question most players have is whether that price tag is justified.

Quick answer: Buy it only if you collect rare limited vehicles. For everyday hauling and money-making, cheaper vehicles carry more and travel more usefully, so save the cash.

Price and where to buy the Flying UFO

The Flying UFO is sold at the Vehicle Dealership. You can pay with in-game cash or Robux, and because it is a limited-time item, it will not stay available forever.

Flying UFO stats and cargo limits

The UFO is built for movement more than heavy hauling. Its base carry weight is modest, and you need a capacity upgrade to raise it. Here are the numbers that matter before you commit.

StatValue
Speed125
Acceleration1.25x
Handling80
Base weight3,863 kg
Weight limit (with 50% capacity upgrade)4,744 kg

Note: the 4,744 kg limit only applies after you apply the 50% capacity upgrade. Without it, your effective hauling room is lower, which is where the UFO falls behind other vehicles that store more for less money.

Flight controls and carrying loot

Flying is straightforward. On console, R2 lifts the UFO up and L2 brings it down, letting you climb and descend while you steer across the map.

When you load an item, a lime green basket appears beneath the UFO, held up by a brown rope. That basket is how the vehicle transports goods, and the capacity numbers above are what cap how much you can stack in it.

Customization options

Customization is limited. You can change the primary and secondary paint colors at the Car Garage helipad, and that is the extent of it. There are no deeper part swaps or performance tweaks tied to appearance.

The main practical use: reaching the Power Plant

The UFO’s strongest selling point is travel. Because it flies, it can cross straight to the Power Plant island instead of relying on the ferry. That shortcut saves time on runs to that side of the map.

It is worth noting that not every flying option can do this. Some flight items, such as the Alien Air Balloon, cannot cross the pond to the Power Plant the way the Flying UFO or the Helicopter can, so this ability is one of the UFO’s genuine advantages.

Sound and night-time glow limitations

The UFO has its own sound effects and a glow, but the visual effect is understated. Its night-time glow is limited, so it does not stand out at night as much as the look might suggest.

Who should buy the Flying UFO

The decision comes down to why you play. Collectors who want rare, limited vehicles will find the UFO worth owning simply because it is limited-time and will eventually leave the shop. For everyone else, the value does not line up.

At $27,500,000 or 6,930 Robux, the Flying UFO asks a premium price for a novelty flyer with a small cargo basket and one meaningful travel perk. If chasing a complete vehicle collection is the goal, the UFO earns its spot. If you are trying to make money efficiently, cheaper vehicles carry more loot and serve you better, so the smarter move is to keep your funds and pass.
