Roblox Carve Wood: How to Grow Trees, Carve Logs, and Earn Coins

A practical rundown of the roll-plant-chop-carve loop, server events, and mutations that raise your log values.

A practical rundown of the roll-plant-chop-carve loop, server events, and mutations that raise your log values.

Carve Wood is a laid-back tycoon on Roblox where you grow trees, chop them into logs, and carve those logs into sculptures to sell to NPC customers. Every sale pays out Coins, which fund upgrades that expand and automate your lumber yard. Two things drive your income: how rare a log is, and how accurately you carve it. A carve rated at 100% accuracy sells for the most and pulls larger crowds into your shop.

Quick answer: Pull the red lever to roll a seed, plant it in a seedbed, wait for it to grow, chop it with your axe for logs and Woodchips, then use the machine beside the Sell Zone to carve each log. Trace the blue outline as closely as possible, and display the finished piece in the Sell Zone to earn Coins.

The core loop, from seed to sale

The whole game runs on a repeatable cycle. You start with a single platform, one lever, and a basic axe. Everything after that is about repeating the loop faster and with more valuable trees.

Interact with the red lever at your base to roll a seed. A seed appears on the platform in front of the lever, and you can pick it up at no cost.
Equip the seed and drop it into one of the seedbeds at your base. A timer shows how many minutes it needs to grow into a tree.
Once the tree has grown, chop it with the Basic Axe from your inventory. Cutting a tree drops logs and Woodchips, the resource used for tycoon upgrades.
Take a log to the machine next to the Sell Zone and start the carving minigame. Trace the shape shown on the log, then place the finished sculpture in the Sell Zone so NPC buyers can purchase it for Coins.

You know a sale worked when Coins are added to your balance and an NPC collects the displayed piece. Reinvest that money into more seedbeds, shelves, and upgrades to keep the cycle moving.

Seed rarities and growth time

Seeds fall into eight rarity tiers. Higher tiers are worth more but take longer to mature, so early on you will cycle through plenty of Common and Uncommon plants while chasing the rare rolls.

Rarity (low to high)Growth time
CommonShortest
UncommonShort
RareModerate
EpicModerate
LegendaryLonger
MythicalLonger
SacredLong
EternalLongest

Eternal is currently the highest rarity in the game. If you do not want to wait for a rare tree, the Instant Growth gamepass finishes growth immediately, or you can let a Rain event strike your seed with lightning.

Carving accuracy is where your money is made

Carving is the hardest part of the loop and the biggest lever on your profit. When the minigame starts, a blue outline appears on the log showing the shape you need to match. Use the scalpel to shave away wood until the log matches that line, and watch the accuracy percentage at the top of the screen.

The closer you get to 100%, the more the finished sculpture sells for and the more shoppers it draws. Work carefully instead of quickly, because accuracy directly sets the quality of the piece you display. A rare log carved poorly earns far less than it should.

Server events and mutations

Events fire on every server once an hour and last three minutes. They either speed up seed growth or apply mutations that raise a tree’s value. Mutations are special modifiers that change a log’s look and increase how much it sells for, so timing your growth and chopping around events pays off.

EventEffect
RainGives a 1.5x growth boost to seeds, and lightning strikes random seedbeds to instantly grow huge trees.
StarfallApplies the Starfall mutation to random trees at your base.
ElectrifiedApplies the Electrified mutation, raising a tree’s sale value by 2.2x.
MoonlitApplies the Moonlit mutation to random trees at your base.

Updates can add more mutations and events over time, so the list may grow.

The game is free to play with optional purchases. The Starter Pack bundles Coins, Glow Seeds, and the Diamond Axe. Beyond that, several gamepasses automate or speed up parts of the loop.

GamepassWhat it does
Auto LatheAutomates the carving machine.
Paintbrush (2x Customers)Doubles the customers visiting your shop.
2x Roll LuckImproves your odds when rolling seeds.
Item MagnetPulls in dropped items automatically.
Instant GrowthGrows a planted seed immediately.
VIPBundled perks for regular players.

You can start and finish the entire loop without spending anything. The lumber yard also keeps growing trees while you are offline, so your progress does not fully stall when you log off. There is no code redemption system in the game right now, so do not go looking for a codes menu.

For quick early gains, keep every seedbed planted at all times, prioritize carving accuracy over speed, and try to chop trees during Electrified or after a mutation has landed. Those habits alone push your Coin income up faster than any single upgrade.
