It sits in a tucked-away corner of Adventureland that you can only reach after clearing an earlier trial, which is why the general area is easy to miss even when you know roughly where to look.
Quick answer: Finish Adventureland Entrance Puzzle #3 to open the portal, travel to Adventureland, walk forward past the candles on the ground, turn left onto the small side path, follow it between two buildings, then turn left again to reach the pillar in the corner.

The pillar lives in a secret part of the event island that stays locked until you solve Adventureland Entrance Puzzle #3. Clearing that puzzle is the only way to open the portal into the second area, and some of the critters you need to count for the combination are also stored there. If the arch is still closed for you, go back and finish Puzzle #3 before searching for the pillar.

What the pillar looks like when you find it
The pillar is a carved column with an animal face on each side, and every face corresponds to a critter type on the island. Tap a face to rotate its number until it matches how many of that critter you counted. You know you are in the right spot when you can interact with these rotating blocks.
The combination and reward once you’re at the pillar
To solve the puzzle, count every critter across the main festival grounds and the Adventureland area, then set each block to the matching total. The correct combination is one, two, two, four.

Entering the wrong numbers will not break anything, so you can keep rotating the blocks until the sequence is right. Completing the puzzle unlocks the Jungle Cruise Entrance, a placeable furniture item you can use to decorate the valley, DLC worlds, and the Floating Islands.
If the pillar still refuses to accept your combination, recount the critters slowly and check rooftops, stall corners, and the areas near the portal, where a raven or squirrel can blend into the decorations.
