Death It Sowed: All Chapter 7 Collectibles in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy

Where to find every Resonance Point, Charm bead, the Pierced Coin, and the Khopesh blade as you push through Chapter 7.

Where to find every Resonance Point, Charm bead, the Pierced Coin, and the Khopesh blade as you push through Chapter 7.

Chapter 7, “Death It Sowed,” takes Sophia from the cliffs outside the Trial down through a cave, into a ruined stretch of coast, and eventually toward a black temple. Along the way you can pick up Resonance Points, two Charm beads, a Pierced Coin tied to the Theseus Echoes, and the Khopesh blade. Everything except the Resonance Points can be mopped up later through Chapter Select, so the skill points are the ones to watch on this run.

Quick answer: The first Resonance Point sits by the rocks just before you drop into the cave. Charm Bead #4 is inside that cave after the light-beam gate. Charm Bead #5 is in a chest beside the boats on the beach. The Khopesh blade is at a bull pillar in Sub-Chapter 2 (The whole damn army), and the Pierced Coin (Theseus Echo #3) is to the right of a locked green gate in Sub-Chapter 3 (A stage of skulls).

Note: The Resonance Points are the only missable collectibles. They do not carry over through Chapter Select, and they are only saved once you reach the next checkpoint. If you die, you have to grab them again. You need 165 of the 200 total across the whole game to unlock all six mastery branches for the “Like a warrior” trophy, so don’t skip them here.

Approaching the Trial: first Resonance Point and Charm Bead #4

The chapter opens with Sophia looking for a way into the Trial. Follow the rocky cliffside path, climb down the tree trunk, and use the grappling hook to swing across the gap toward the ruins.

Just before you drop down into the cave, check the ground near the rocks in the stream area. The first Resonance Point glimmers there. Pick it up to bank a skill point before you head underground.

Drop into the cave and turn the crank to line up the light beams, which opens the gate ahead. Run through, deal with the two soldiers on the other side, and you’ll come across a dying ally named Sergio. Charm Bead #4 is found here.

This early stretch also includes a lever puzzle. Use the two levers so the light travels in a straight line and the second mirror bounces it down onto a green floor plate. Stand on the plate and hold the sphere button to rotate and align the three colored lights, which clears the path forward.

The beach: Charm Bead #5

Beyond the cave, the path opens onto a beach dotted with several wooden boats. This is the fastest collectible in the chapter to grab.

Walk down to the boats and open the chest sitting next to one of them. Inside is Charm Bead #5.

Khopesh blade in The whole damn army

Sub-Chapter 2 is where the chapter’s only blade hides. The objective here is to reach the black temple, and you’ll pass through a dark underground section on the way.

When you come out of that underground section into a big open area, head left instead of pressing on. You’ll find a bull pillar. Use the light sphere to solve it, which opens the tomb, then drop in and open the chest to claim the Khopesh.

Tip: The Khopesh counts toward the “Plunderer” trophy for collecting all blades. To also tick off “Adaptable,” get at least one kill with each blade, including this one.

Pierced Coin (Theseus Echo #3) in A stage of skulls

Sub-Chapter 3, “A stage of skulls,” holds the third of the five Theseus Echoes. These are a specific set of Pierced Coin charms that you get by interacting with Axe Chalices rather than opening chests, and each one plays back a flashback of Theseus. Finding all five unlocks the “In the name of my kin” trophy.

During the “Open one of the doors” objective, solve the puzzle and drop down the hole. Slide under the gate, then swing across the next two grappling hooks. Once you’re across, jump to the right to reach the Axe Chalice. It sits just to the right of a large locked green gate. Interact with it to collect the Pierced Coin.

With those items in hand, the only Chapter 7 pickup you truly can’t afford to leave behind is the Resonance Point, since the Beads, Khopesh, and Pierced Coin all remain available through Chapter Select afterward. Chapter 8, “Resonance,” has no collectibles, so once you clear this run of “Death It Sowed” you can move on without worrying about backtracking for anything but skill points.
