A Dream Aloft Walkthrough in Where Winds Meet (Stellabed Rocks)

“A Dream Aloft” is a Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet that begins at Stellabed Rocks and ends with a sky lantern cutscene at Driftseed Moor. The whole thing hinges on one simple loop: treat Shen Mingxi’s injury, then advance the clock three separate times before you finish the story on a cliff overlooking the moor.

Quick answer: Heal Shen Mingxi’s Bone Fracture with Quick Treatment at Stellabed Rocks, skip one day to the Shen hour (15:00–17:00) three times while talking to her after each skip, speak to Tu Guanxian, then travel to Driftseed Moor and talk to Shen Mingxi at the cliff edge.

Start the quest by healing Shen Mingxi

The tale opens with Shen Mingxi and Tu Guanxian standing together at Stellabed Rocks, in the Hidden Mountain region. Shen Mingxi is hurt, and treating her is what actually kicks off the quest, so you cannot skip this step.

Walk up to Shen Mingxi and open the treatment prompt. Choose the “Bone Fracture” ailment when the illness panel appears.

Pick the “Quick Treatment” option to close out the injury in one action. Once she is healed, the Wandering Tale registers and the map updates to point you at the current objective.

Skip time three times to the Shen hour

The middle of the tale is a repeating pattern. Each time, you open the Time menu, advance a full day to the Shen hour, and then talk to Shen Mingxi to move her dialogue forward. The Shen hour falls between 15:00 and 17:00, so target that window every time.

Advance the clock a second time, again one day forward to the Shen hour, and speak with Shen Mingxi to continue the conversation.

Skip time a third and final time to the Shen hour. This time, instead of Shen Mingxi, turn to Tu Guanxian and speak with him to close out the Stellabed Rocks portion.

Finish at the Driftseed Moor cliffside

After the talk with Tu Guanxian, the objective marker moves to Driftseed Moor. This is the last stretch, and it ends with the story’s sky lantern scene.

Open the map and fast travel to the Driftseed Moor waypoint. From the teleport point, head toward the cliff edge where Shen Mingxi is waiting.

Talk to Shen Mingxi at the cliffside. The conversation triggers the sky lantern cutscene and completes “A Dream Aloft.”

How to confirm the quest is done

You will know it worked when the sky lantern cutscene plays and the Wandering Tales log updates with the reward screen. If the tale is not advancing, the usual cause is skipping the time step or talking to the wrong character. Remember that the first two skips end with Shen Mingxi and only the third ends with Tu Guanxian.
