Where Winds Meet: Fastest Ways to Get Coins

The weekly 220,000 activity cap, the highest-paying runs, and the shop buys that ignore the limit entirely.

The weekly 220,000 activity cap, the highest-paying runs, and the shop buys that ignore the limit entirely.

Coins pay for almost every meaningful upgrade in Where Winds Meet, from gear enhancement to martial arts breakthroughs and basic vendor goods. The catch is that most of the obvious activities feed a shared weekly ceiling, so raw grinding stops paying out long before your week is over. Knowing which sources sit inside that ceiling and which sit outside it is the difference between a slow trickle and a full purse.

Quick answer: Clear Taiping Mausoleum chapters first (45,000 coins per chapter in Foundation Trials), then push everything else through energy and stamina — Joint Battles in Sword Trials and Golden Silk Coin Bags in the Season Shop — because energy-based rewards do not count against the 220,000 weekly activity cap.

The weekly coin cap and what it actually counts

Open the Money Bag tab and you will see a counter labeled “Daily Activity Coins” with a limit of 220,000. The label is misleading — that pool resets weekly, not daily. Once you hit 220,000, the activities tied to it stop paying coins for the rest of the week.

Counts toward the 220,000 capIgnores the cap
Wandering Paths activities (Arena, Casual Co-op, Blessed Land)Anything you spend energy on
Taiping Mausoleum trials and challengesCoins dropped by defeated enemies
Vendettas and Bounty HuntingRed packets
One-time rewards, including quest and first-clear payouts

Because Wandering Paths feeds the cap, Blessed Land is the cheapest way to eat into it. It is a casual co-op activity that hands over 6,200 coins even if you barely participate, which makes it the low-effort filler once the bigger runs are done.

Highest-paying capped runs: Taiping Mausoleum and bounties

If you are going to fill the weekly pool, fill it with the largest single payouts. Taiping Mausoleum is the clear leader, and bounty hunting is the fastest supplement if you are comfortable with open-world PvP.

ActivityCoin reward
Taiping Mausoleum — Foundation Trials45,000 per chapter
Taiping Mausoleum — Divine Challenges10,000 per chapter
Bounty Hunting — player target37,000
Bounty Hunting — NPC target3,700
Blessed Land (casual co-op)6,200

Path Trials pay out through First Clear rewards, so they are worth running once each but will not sustain income. Higher objective ratings in the Mausoleum increase what you take home, so pushing for a better clear on a chapter you can already handle beats repeating a sloppy run.

Spend energy for coins that bypass the limit

This is the part most players miss. Energy-spending content sits outside the 220,000 ceiling entirely, so it keeps paying after everything else has dried up. Joint Battles in Sword Trials are the fastest energy dump available: 20 energy returns 3,500 coins, and well-geared characters can triple the reward to over 10,000 coins in a single run.

Outpost Challenges, Campaign Challenges, and the weekly Hero’s Realm work the same way. Energy regenerates at one point every eight minutes, with your maximum tied to your breakthrough level, and a Pillow Pill will top you up early if you want to burn through a backlog in one sitting.

Tip: Turn on cross-server matchmaking before queuing. Joint Battles need a party, and the wider pool fills groups noticeably faster than waiting on your home server.

Buy coins outright with other currencies

Several shops sell coins directly, and none of these purchases touch the weekly activity cap. The Season Shop carries two of the best conversions in the game.

Open the main menu and select Season under Mode. The Season Catch-up and Combat Development sections are where the coin bundles live.

In the Season Catch-up shop, buy String of Coins for 1,000 Trace Jade each. Weekly stock runs up to 140, so this is the largest single conversion available if you have Trace Jade sitting unused.
Move to the Combat Development section and pick up Golden Silk Coin Bags. Each one costs 200 Stamina and returns 20,000 coins, with stock capped at 30 and 15 restocked every Monday.
Check the Featured Pack tab in the main Shop for the free Bag of Coins. It contains 10,000 coins, costs nothing, and can be claimed once a week — the entry will read as sold out after you take it.

Live events run their own storefronts on the same principle. Event currencies such as Work Merit exchange for Bags of Coins, and since event stock expires with the event, clear those shelves before the closing date rather than saving the currency.

Battle Pass levels and the once-per-season weapon refund

Battle Pass progress carries coin rewards along the track, and the daily and weekly quests are the intended route to level it. None of that requires special effort beyond the dailies you are already clearing.

The refund route is easier to overlook. Resetting a weapon returns 100 percent of the coins you invested in it, and each weapon can be reset once per season. If you dumped upgrades into a weapon you no longer use, that is a lump sum of coins waiting to be recovered — but spend the refund carefully, since you cannot reset the same weapon twice in one season.

Open-world coin sources worth clearing once

One-time payouts sit outside the cap too, and they add up quickly for newer characters. Main story quests, encounters, and side quests all carry substantial coin rewards, and they are the single largest untapped pool if you have skipped content while leveling.

One warning on the money bags — get caught lifting one and the NPC will call the authorities, which puts an arrest warrant on you. Celestial Seize avoids that outcome entirely.

Confirming the cap has reset and where coins go

The Money Bag tab is the only reliable check. If the counter reads something like 2,108/220,000, you have almost the whole week’s allowance untouched. If capped activities suddenly stop paying while enemy drops still do, the counter is sitting at 220,000 and you should switch entirely to energy content and shop purchases until the weekly reset.

On the spending side, coins go into gear enhancement, martial arts breakthroughs, and general goods from NPC vendors and merchants. Enhancement costs climb sharply with each level, so pouring coins into gear you plan to replace is the fastest way to undo a good week of farming. Breakthroughs are the safer priority, since they unlock skills and damage that carry across builds.
