Nanally’s Boss on Patrol quest line in Neverness to Everness is built out of short Encounters scattered around Hethereau, and “Good Practice!” is the one that ends in a straight fight. It sits in Eibon’s Backyard, takes a few minutes, and closes with a cinematic that stamps the quest as complete.
Quick answer: Track “Good Practice!” in Eibon’s Backyard, speak to Nanally beside the green training dummy, accept her sparring request, and defeat her at Lvl. 65. The post-fight cutscene triggers the “Boss on Patrol Quest Complete” notification.
Good Practice! encounter location in Eibon’s Backyard
The Encounter marker sits in Eibon’s Backyard, reachable from the Bluebroad Road side of the map near Bridge Crossings landmarks like Green Wall Slope and Hankaku Street. Open the world map, select “Good Practice!” from the Encounter list, and hit Track so the waypoint stays pinned while you run over.
The Encounter description tells you exactly what you are walking into: Nanally is training alone at the practice posts. On arrival she is standing next to a green training dummy in the yard, and interacting with her opens the dialogue immediately — there is no prerequisite object to find or NPC to talk to first.

How to confirm Boss on Patrol is complete
You do not need to return to anyone. As soon as the cutscene ends and overworld control comes back, a “Boss on Patrol Quest Complete” banner appears at the top of the screen. If you see that banner, the Encounter is registered and the marker disappears from the map.

If Good Practice! won’t trigger at the marker
There was a known issue where the “Good Practice!” quest inside the Boss on Patrol Encounter could fail to start at its designated location. It was patched out in the May 13, 2026 maintenance update, so the fix is simply to be on a current client — restart the game after an update installs rather than logging straight in on an old build.
If the marker is still dead on a patched client, leave the area far enough for the Encounter to unload and come back, since Encounters re-arm when you approach them fresh.
Other Boss on Patrol encounters with Nanally
Boss on Patrol is not a single quest. Several separate Encounters around the city all close with the same completion banner, and each one is tracked from the map the same way.
| Encounter | Where it starts | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Good Practice! | Eibon’s Backyard | Accept the spar and defeat Lvl. 65 Nanally |
| Your New Electric Scooter? | Ticking Back Bike Shop, New Herland District | Enter the shop, hear Tong’s prices, then ride the used red scooter she buys for 9,999 Fons |
| Fish On! | Caltrop Lake pier | Talk to Nanally, follow her along the boardwalk, and watch the fishing cutscene |
Note: the scooter Encounter has no combat at all — Nanally has only saved 10,000 Fons, so the deluxe green model at 49,999 Fons and the regular one at 29,999 Fons are both out of reach, and the shop owner steers her to the secondhand red scooter instead.
Clearing Encounters like this one feeds directly into Nanally’s Bond. Each completed conversation event awards Affection Points and unlocks entries in the Memory Theater under Bond Interactions, which is the slower but free counterpart to daily gifting. Raising her Bond level is what eventually opens the passenger seat feature, home invitations, and her City Hangout, so the sparring match is worth doing even if you have no interest in the fight itself.
