Anime Expeditions Fish Index: Every Fish and Where to Catch It

All 18 catchable fish sorted by map and rarity, plus the exact spots to cast your line.

All 18 catchable fish sorted by map and rarity, plus the exact spots to cast your line.

Fishing arrived in Anime Expeditions with the Summer Siege content, adding a calm side activity to a game built around tower-defense waves. You can cast a line in the lobby, in the Coral Kingdom event map, and inside three story maps. Each map holds its own set of fish, and rarity runs from 1-star up to a single 5-star catch.

Quick answer: There are 18 catchable fish spread across five maps. The rarest is the 5-star Coopfin, which appears in both the Lobby and the Coral Kingdom (Tidal Siege) map. Higher-star fish grant more Fishing EXP, so target 3–5 star catches when you want faster progress.

Lobby fish and fishing spots

The lobby holds the widest spread of fish, seven in total, including the top-tier Coopfin. You can fish only in large, still bodies of water. Fast-flowing water will not let you cast.

The lobby has plenty of water pockets to work with. The most reliable places to drop a line are:

  • Either side of the Story mode hub
  • Near the Carrot Summer NPC
  • To the right of the AFK Chamber hub
  • Near the Guilds and Tower hub
  • Near the Summon hub
  • Inside the Upgrades hub
  • On either side of the Leaderboards hub
  • Near the Tournaments hub

Coral Kingdom fish (Tidal Siege event map)

The Coral Kingdom is exclusive to the Tidal Siege event and shares several fish with the lobby, including the Coopfin. You reach it through the Tidal Siege event tab, and once inside you can fish anywhere on the map.

Note: In game mode maps like this one, fishing only becomes available once the waves start. You cannot cast before pressing the start button at the beginning of a level.

School Grounds fish

School Grounds is a story map with three fish. Running it in Infinite mode gives you unlimited time to fish while your towers hold the waves.

Flower Forest fish

Head behind the enemy’s spawn portal.

East Town fish

East Town rounds out the story maps with three fish, topped by the 4-star Sword Fish. The fishing spot here is an open sea area at the end of the path.

How rarity affects your catch

Rarity directly scales the Fishing EXP a fish gives. Higher-star catches move you toward milestone rewards and Fishing Event Ranks faster, so it pays to prioritize 3–5 star fish when your goal is progress rather than filling index slots. Save your lower-star runs for topping up currency.

Catching a fish also rolls a 1% chance to award the Lucky Rod, and fishing 100 times unlocks the Recycling Rod. Higher-tier rods make the catch mini-game easier, which matters for the fish that dart around and fill the bar quickly.

With all 18 fish mapped, the fastest way to complete the index is to sweep the lobby and Coral Kingdom for their shared high-rarity catches, then clear each story map in Infinite mode where the fishing spots stay reachable throughout a run.
