Viessa Season 4 Builds: Gun Viessa and Absolute Zero Setups

The exact modules, weapons, reactors, and components that push Viessa into top-tier crowd control and skill damage.

The exact modules, weapons, reactors, and components that push Viessa into top-tier crowd control and skill damage.

Viessa runs two distinct builds in Season 4, and both hit hard. One turns her into a gun platform that constantly triggers skill damage, while the other spams her Absolute Zero skills for wide-area freeze and control. Which one you pick depends on whether you want weapon damage with skill support, or pure skill spam for mobbing and Trials.

Quick answer: Run Gun Viessa with the Frost Bullet transcendent module and the Eraser scout rifle for weapon-driven damage. Run Absolute Zero (ABZ) with the Absolute Zero module and Frost Blossom as a stat stick for skill spam. Both use the Polar Set external components.

Gun Viessa: Frost Bullet and the Eraser rifle

The Gun Viessa build is built around the Frost Bullet transcendent module. This module converts her second skill into a gun buff that grants +70% firearm ATK and turns your shots into frost bullets. Every frost bullet can trigger skill damage, so your weapon becomes the main way you deal damage.

The Eraser scout rifle is the best weapon for this setup. Its poison effect, from degrading enzymes, keeps applying to enemies, and that constant poison keeps triggering the extra skill damage from Frost Bullet. The result is a steady stream of damage without needing to cast skills over and over.

If you don’t have the Eraser ready, other weapons work with the gun build. Hammer and Anvil, Thunder Cage, Storm Cage, and King’s Guard Lance are all viable alternatives, though the Eraser’s constant poison uptime makes it the top pick.

For the trigger module on Gun Viessa, use Arche Reflux. Fill out the rest of the loadout with cooldown, crit, and modifier modules to keep your firearm damage and skill triggers high. On the Eraser itself, prioritize the poison-focused modules like Toxic Enhancement and Poison Priority so the degrading enzyme effect stays active.

Gear this build with the Polar Night external components (the Polar Set), the Frozen Mechanics Reactor, and a matching Arche Tuning setup.

Absolute Zero: Hard and Easy variants

The Absolute Zero build uses the Absolute Zero transcendent module, exclusive to Ultimate Viessa. It converts all her skills into a single (Singular) damage type, which lets one set of modifiers boost everything at once. It also adds skill critical hit rate, making it easy to reach or get close to 100% crit without loading up on crit modules.

There are two versions of this build depending on the content you’re running.

VariantKey moduleBest for
ABZ HardDangerous Ambush (higher HP)Mega Dungeons, Trials, high-difficulty group content
ABZ EasyBreach Explorer + Charge Emission (higher skill efficiency)General mob clearing and skill spam

ABZ Hard trades some skill efficiency for survivability, which matters in tougher group fights. ABZ Easy leans into skill spam, using Breach Explorer and Charge Emission to keep your abilities cycling for constant mob clear.

For solo play, Ground Eruption is a strong swap. It places a ground damage-over-time effect, giving you extra damage against tougher single enemies when you don’t have a group to help clear them.

Frost Blossom as a stat stick

On the skill-focused Absolute Zero builds, your weapon isn’t there to deal damage. The Frost Blossom machine gun works as a stat stick because of its Chill Skill Power Amplification Rate, which feeds directly into Viessa’s cold skill damage. A basic module setup on Frost Blossom is all you need since you’re holding it for the stat, not firing it as your main tool.

Gear the Absolute Zero builds with the Polar Set external components, the Frozen Singularity Reactor, matching Arche Tuning, and Inversion Reinforcement. A cold singular reactor is the correct choice because Absolute Zero converts every ability into that single damage type.

Ancestor module: Hunter’s Resolution rolls

The Ancestor module for Viessa is Hunter’s Resolution. It’s only worth slotting if you have good rolls on it. If you don’t, keep Skill Insight in that spot instead until you get a better one.

Roll typeIdeal perks
PositiveSkill Critical Hit Rate (mandatory), Skill Critical Hit Damage, Skill Effect Range, Singular, Chill
NegativeMax Shield, or any Fusion / Tech skill power boost ratio

Skill Critical Hit Rate is the one perk you must have. The negative rolls are chosen to be stats Viessa doesn’t use, so they cost you nothing.

How to know your build is working

A correctly built Absolute Zero Viessa reaches a 100% skill critical hit rate and keeps her fourth skill, Blizzard, active with 100% uptime. The extra 20% skill crit from the Absolute Zero module, combined with her base crit and a few crit modules, is what gets you to full crit. If your Blizzard is dropping between casts, your cooldown reduction from reactor, external components, and Arche Tuning isn’t high enough yet.

On Gun Viessa, the sign it’s working is skill damage numbers firing off your Eraser shots. If those extra hits aren’t appearing, check that Frost Bullet is active (your second skill buff) and that poison is landing on enemies from the Eraser.

Both builds lean on the same core: cold and singular scaling, high skill crit, and strong cooldown reduction. Pick Gun Viessa when you want to hold a trigger and let poison do the work, and pick Absolute Zero when you want to spam freeze across a room. Viessa’s strength in Season 4 comes from how well both of these cover crowd control and area damage across Mega Dungeons, Trials, and open-world content.
