Lightning God is a Secret-rarity unit in Anime Expeditions, added with the Summer Siege update and inspired by Enel from One Piece. It throws lightning for area-of-effect blasts and grows stronger with every Stun applied to enemies. Once evolved into Lightning God (Overcharged), it gains the Stormseeker active ability, which drops a Storm Cloud on a spot you choose.

Quick answer: You cannot pull Lightning God from any gacha banner. Craft the Lightning God’s Portal using four Charged Dust items, then finish that portal challenge as the host for a guaranteed unit.

How to get Lightning God in Anime Expeditions

Lightning God is the guaranteed reward for clearing the Lightning God’s Portal. Building that portal takes four Charged Dust, and Charged Dust only comes from the top tier of the Sky Ruins portal chain. The whole path starts from a single Infinite stage.

Clear the Rose Kingdom Infinite stage to earn the Tier 1 Sky Ruins Portal. It has a 2.5% drop chance, so expect several attempts.
Enter the Tier 1 Sky Ruins Portal and finish the challenge to receive the Tier 2 portal. Repeat this process, climbing one tier at a time, until the Tier 5 Sky Ruins Portal drops.
Run the Tier 5 Sky Ruins Portal to farm Charged Dust. It drops at 6.4%, with a pity counter that guarantees it after 25 runs.
Collect four Charged Dust and craft the Lightning God’s Portal. Enter it and complete the challenge to add Lightning God to your roster.

To skip most of the grind, join another player’s Tier 5 Sky Ruins lobby and farm Charged Dust together. Veteran players regularly look for teammates for these runs on the Anime Expeditions Discord.

Note: Being the portal host matters. If you host the Lightning God’s Portal, the unit drops at 100%. If you join someone else’s Lightning God’s Portal instead, your chance falls to 2%, so craft and host your own for the guaranteed reward.

Evolution materials for Lightning God (Overcharged)

Lightning God evolves into Lightning God (Overcharged) once you gather every item below and pay the Gold cost.

MaterialAmount
Sprite (Yellow)25
Sprite (Blue)25
Sprite (Pink)25
Sprite (Rainbow)3
Ancient Bell1
Gold10,000

You can make every Sprite color from Sprite (Grey) items, and Sprites also drop from Challenge stages. Gold builds up naturally as you clear levels, so it is rarely the bottleneck compared to farming the colored Sprites.

How to craft the Ancient Bell

Ancient Bell is a crafted item rather than a drop. Open the Crafting Menu, select the Ancient Bell recipe, and submit 5 Sprite (Yellow), 5 Sprite (Blue), 5 Sprite (Pink), and 10,000 Gold. That produces the single Ancient Bell the evolution needs.

Lightning God (Overcharged) passives and active ability

After evolving, the unit runs four passives and one active. Its damage scales through the Voltage Meter, which climbs with every Electricity Stun and pushes Electricity damage far above the listed number.

AbilityEffect
Storm ChargeVoltage Meter starts at 0. Each Electricity Stun adds 1 point (cap 60). Every point raises Electricity damage by 5%, for up to a 300% bonus at full stacks.
ThundercloudAt 25 Voltage, unlocks Stormseeker and summons a Storm Cloud in range every 10 seconds. The cloud hits a random enemy for 25% of the unit’s damage in 5 range, and applies an extra Electricity stack if the target has none.
Tempest DischargeAt 60 Voltage, a Lightning Strike hits the unit’s position, dealing 100% of current damage and applying Electricity to all enemies in range. It leaves Electric Residue for 8 seconds that keeps Electricity active until the enemy leaves range or the residue despawns.
Molten GoldEvery 10 seconds, applies Golden to 2 enemies in range. Golden Stuns for 3 seconds and extends Electricity chain lightning to 2 additional enemies.
Stormseeker (active)Select a spot in range for the Storm Cloud to target. Local cooldown is 60 seconds.

Because both Molten Gold and the Electricity effects feed Stuns, the Voltage Meter fills on its own during longer fights, and the unit ramps toward its 300% damage ceiling while crowd-controlling waves. That scaling and hard control is what places Lightning God (Overcharged) among the strongest Secret carries in the current meta.
