Beast of Reincarnation: How to Find the Floral Wraps Armor in Chapter 3

The Floral Wraps is the widest armor slot count you can get your hands on in the first half of Beast of Reincarnation, and it sits in plain sight at the end of Chapter 3. Six Spirit Stone slots is the maximum any armor in the game offers, and only two other pieces ever match it, both much later in the story. If you are heading into the fight against the Male Purifier and the Nue Malefact, this is the piece you want on Emma before the arena loads.

Quick answer: Rest at the Old Sagami Colony: Approach campsite in The Great Wall Terraces, turn around from the checkpoint toward the wooden shelter next to the Merchant Golem, and open the strongbox on the table to loot the Floral Wraps.

Floral Wraps stats and what the six slots are for

The armor is described in-game as wraps wound across the torso for support and protection, tinged with the scent of flowers. Mechanically it trades raw defense for utility. It carries less protection than you might expect at this point in the game, but the extra Spirit Stone slot and the Low enemy awareness rating make it a flexible build piece rather than a straight defensive upgrade.

Note: the strongbox preview shows the defense value as 30 before you equip it. Once the Floral Wraps is highlighted in the equipment menu, it reads 31.

Where the strongbox is in The Great Wall Terraces

The pickup is in the Mountainous Region, inside The Great Wall Terraces zone, at the very end of Chapter 3. You reach it after the third encounter with the Nue Malefact, once the boss retreats past the Grand Wall and you take the elevator through to the far side. The final campsite before the Nushi’s lair is the marker you are looking for, and the strongbox is a few steps away from it.

Because this camp is directly on the critical path to the story boss, the armor is functionally unmissable as long as you stop and look around instead of running straight into the arena.

How to get the Floral Wraps armor

Progress the Chapter 3 objective until it reads “Head to the Nushi’s lair.” After the elevator ride past the Grand Wall, use Emma’s hair to cross the terrain toward the open arena to the north.
Open the map and confirm your position. You want to be just south of the circular lair marker in The Great Wall Terraces, with the Old Sagami Colony: Approach camp unlocked.

Rest at the campsite, then turn around so the arena is behind you. A small wooden shelter sits at the edge of the camp, close to the Merchant Golem who sells Spirit Stones and manuals here.
Walk to the table inside the shelter and interact with the glowing strongbox. It is already unlocked, so there is no directional input puzzle and no elite enemy guarding it.
Open the equipment menu and equip the Floral Wraps before entering the arena. The two-on-two fight against the Male Purifier and the Nue Malefact starts as soon as you step into the open area, so make your build changes first.

How to confirm you picked it up

Opening the strongbox plays an item acquisition prompt naming the Floral Wraps and showing its defense value and slot count. After that, the box stays open and no longer glows. In the equipment menu, Floral Wraps appears in Emma’s armor list and can be compared side by side against whatever she is wearing, with the six Spirit Stone slots visible in the comparison panel.

If you cannot find it, there are only two likely reasons. Either you triggered the boss arena before searching the camp, in which case the strongbox is still waiting when you return, or you are at the wrong campsite. The Mountain Village Entrance Camp on the western side of the same zone has its own strongbox, and that one contains the Insulating Mail.

Floral Wraps compared to the other Chapter 3 armor

Chapter 3 hands out two chest pieces, and they pull in opposite directions. The Insulating Mail wins on defense and lightning protection, which matters against Nue’s lightning strikes, but its Extreme enemy awareness rating makes stealth approaches and assassinations far harder. The Floral Wraps gives up a single point of defense in exchange for an extra Spirit Stone slot and a much quieter profile.

ArmorDefense / SlotsResistanceAwareness
Floral Wraps31 / 6Acid 50Low
Insulating Mail32 / 5Lightning 70Extreme
Thick Cuirass29 / 4Poison 60Medium
Garb of Tranquility23 / 4Acid 60Nonexistent

Nothing you find in Chapter 4 or Chapter 5 matches those six slots. The Leather Garb, Scale Coat, and Mirror Guard all offer more defense but cap out at four or five slots, so the Floral Wraps stays relevant well past the chapter it belongs to. The next six-slot option is the Dance Attire in Chapter 6, which adds flame and lightning resistance while keeping the same Low awareness rating.

Before you commit to the boss, spend the amber at the Merchant Golem standing next to the strongbox, upgrade the Hunter’s Sword, and make sure both Emma and Koo have full hunger. The camp is the last safe point in Chapter 3, and the Floral Wraps is the only piece of gear left in the zone.
