The Blood of Dawnwalker: Page-Turner Full Quest Walkthrough

Collect the Dried Herbs from Anca’s shed, get her indoors, and dress her back wounds to close the quest.

Page-Turner is a short side quest in The Blood of Dawnwalker that starts with a simple errand and turns into a first-aid job. A tree has come down on Anca’s shed, the herbs stored inside are scattered across the floor, and Anca herself is in worse shape than her building.

Quick answer: Pick up every bundle of Dried Herbs on the floor of Anca’s shed southwest of the village, then help Anca into her house and treat her back with a wet cloth followed by balm to finish the quest.

Anca’s shed location (southwest of the village)

The quest objective points you at a single building, and it is not inside the settlement itself.

Open the Journal and select Page-Turner to confirm the active objective, which is to gather herbs from Anca’s shed. The entry tells you what you are looking for before you set off.
Open the map and follow the objective marker southwest of the village. The shed sits away from the main cluster of houses, so travel to the marker rather than searching the village interiors.

Collect the Dried Herbs inside the damaged shed

The wooden shed has been partly crushed, and the herb bundles that were hanging or stored inside are now on the floor. There is no puzzle here and nothing to fight.

Walk into the shed and look down. Several separate bundles of Dried Herbs are scattered across the floorboards rather than sitting in one neat pile.
Interact with each bundle using the “Pick Up Dried Herbs” prompt. Sweep the whole interior, including the corners near the collapsed section, until no more prompts appear.

Note: collecting these bundles also feeds the Withering Away objective, so the pickups count toward more than one entry in your Journal.

Find Anca outside and help her into the house

Once the herbs are in your inventory, groaning starts up outside the shed. That audio cue is the quest handing you its second half.

Leave the shed and head toward the sound. Anca is collapsed on the ground near the steps of her house, not inside the shed you just cleared.
Talk to her. She explains that she slipped and hurt her back, which sets up the treatment sequence.
Carry her indoors when the option appears. The rest of the quest plays out inside her home.

Treat Anca’s back wounds with the cloth and balm

The treatment runs in a fixed order. Cleaning comes first, dressing comes second, and skipping ahead is not an option.

OrderItemWhat it does
1Wet clothCleans the wounds on Anca’s back
2BalmDresses the cleaned wounds and ends the quest

Work through the dialogue with Anca until the treatment prompts appear, use the wet cloth on the injured area first, then apply the balm. Page-Turner closes out as soon as the dressing is done.

How to confirm the quest is complete

You will know it worked when the Journal entry for Page-Turner stops listing an active objective after the balm is applied. If it is still sitting there with an open task, one of the following is usually the cause.

  • A bundle of Dried Herbs was left on the shed floor, so the gathering objective never ticked over.
  • You walked away from Anca before talking to her and carrying her inside.
  • The wounds were not cleaned with the wet cloth before reaching for the balm.

Start to finish, Page-Turner is a couple of minutes of work with no combat and no failure state, provided you clear the shed floor properly before following the sound of Anca outside.
