The Flyswatter is the Epic bat skin added to Steal an Egg alongside the Monster update, and it is not sold, crafted, or dropped anywhere on the map. It comes out of exactly one container, and that container only exists while the Hungry Monster event is running.
Quick answer: Collect five Infested Eggs (normal eggs with purple parasites sitting on top), carry each one back to your base, and feed all five to the Hungry Monster next to the Sell Shop to fill its meter to 100%. That awards one Monster Chest, which has a 5% chance to contain the Flyswatter. Repeat until it drops.

A Monster Chest rolls one prize, not several. Four of the five outcomes are short buffs, which is why most chests feel like nothing happened. The Flyswatter is the second-rarest result on the table.

Nothing you own changes those numbers. Luck stats, pets, and account progression have no confirmed effect on the chest roll, and there is no known pity system that guarantees a drop after a set number of opens.
How to find Infested Eggs in Steal an Egg
Infested Eggs are ordinary map eggs with visible purple parasites clinging to the shell. You do not need to search for a separate “parasite egg” item — the parasite is a marker on top of a regular egg, and any egg carrying one counts.
They have a chance to appear in the later biomes: Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric, Cosmic, Cherry Blossom, and Titan Temple. Sightings in other zones get reported often enough that it is worth glancing at every area you have unlocked as you pass through. Infestation is rolled when eggs reset, so a fresh reset is the best time to sweep the map.
The biome an egg came from does not matter for the event. A Snow egg and a Titan Temple egg both fill the same 20%, so grab whichever infested egg you can actually get home safely rather than chasing distance.
How to feed the Hungry Monster and earn a Monster Chest
E on PC, or press and hold the Feed Parasite button on mobile, until the feed completes. Each egg adds 20% to the monster’s meter.
Note: Feeding destroys the egg. Check what you are holding before you hold the button, because a rare egg fed to the monster is gone and still only counts for the same 20% as a common one.
Confirming the Flyswatter dropped
Open the Monster Chest from your inventory. The chest plays a roll animation and lands on a single reward, so if it stops on one of the three timed buffs, that roll is over and you need another chest. There is no second prize hidden behind it.
A successful pull puts the Flyswatter in your inventory as a permanent item rather than a five-minute timer. Equip it from the inventory the same way you equip your bat, and it replaces the default bat in your hands. If it does not appear in the inventory after a winning roll, rejoining the server restores it.
How many Monster Chests the Flyswatter takes
At a flat 5% per chest, the cost is easy to plan around. Every chest is 25 Infested Eggs’ worth of running, split into five feeds. These are probabilities, not schedules, so an unlucky account can pass every row below and still have nothing.

Since roughly 93% of chests return a five-minute buff, save your opens for the moment you are about to start a farming session. That way the Egg Growth or Speed roll actually gets used instead of ticking down in the lobby.
Common reasons the Flyswatter never drops
Most stalled runs come down to one of a small set of mistakes rather than bad luck alone.
- Feeding clean eggs. Only eggs with purple parasites on the shell register with the Hungry Monster.
- Losing the egg on the way home. The egg has to be secured at your base before it is safe to feed.
- Standing outside the circle. The Feed Parasite prompt will not appear unless you are inside the marker with the egg equipped.
- Expecting a guaranteed drop. The 5% rate does not improve with more chests, higher Luck, or a more progressed account.

Mechanically, the Flyswatter behaves like your standard bat. You swing it at rival players to stagger them and slow them down, which is enough to make someone drop an egg they were carrying or lose a lead on a contested run. Its reward listing describes it as a bat skin carrying an 8% boost.
The Hungry Monster event runs until September 5, 2026, when the next update replaces it, and the Monster Chest disappears with it. Since the Flyswatter has no other source, any farming you plan to do needs to happen before that date — bank Infested Eggs while they are still spawning, and feed them as you go rather than sitting on a half-full meter.
