Roblox +1 Speed Squirrel Escape: How to Play (Full Guide)

Treadmill speed training, stage wins, tail upgrades, and rebirth multipliers, explained as one repeatable loop.

+1 Speed Squirrel Escape is an incremental simulator on Roblox where every step you take makes your squirrel faster, and speed is the only thing standing between you and the next obstacle course. The whole game runs on a short loop that repeats forever, so once you understand the order of operations, progress stops feeling random.

Quick answer: Stand on a treadmill until your speed level climbs, run the stage track to the end to bank wins, equip the higher-level tail those wins unlock, then rebirth to trade your speed level for a permanent multiplier and repeat.

The core loop in +1 Speed Squirrel Escape

Four systems feed into each other. Speed lets you clear stages, stages give wins, wins unlock tails, and tails plus rebirths raise your ceiling so the next round of training is worth more. Nothing here is optional if you want to reach later worlds.

SystemWhat it does
Treadmill trainingRaises your speed level (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and upward) while you stand on it
Stage runsSends you through obstacle courses (Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3) toward the win line
WinsBanked at the end of a run and used to unlock upgraded tails
TailsEquippable upgrades that boost your stats once unlocked
RebirthWipes your current speed level in exchange for a permanent speed multiplier

Controls: Gliding and ziplines

Movement is standard Roblox controls with one addition that matters constantly. Hold the jump button instead of tapping it and your squirrel glides through the air, which is how you cross gaps that a normal jump cannot clear. Release to drop.

Ziplines need no input at all. You attach when you touch one and detach automatically at the other end, so do not fight the animation or try to jump off mid-line.

How to train speed on the treadmill

Walk onto a treadmill pad. The prompt reads “Step on the Treadmill” until you are standing on it, at which point it switches to “Train Speed” and your squirrel starts running in place.
Stay on the pad and watch the level counter. It ticks up through Level 1, Level 2, Level 3 and keeps climbing as long as you remain on the treadmill, with each step adding to your speed total.

Step off once your level is high enough to handle the stage you are attempting. There is no penalty for leaving early, and you can return to the same treadmill at any point to top up.

How to collect wins in the stages

Wins are the currency behind your upgrades, and they only pay out at the end of a track. Head to the stage entrances and start with Stage 1, then move on to Stage 2 and Stage 3 as your speed allows. Falling short of an obstacle usually means you left the treadmill too soon.

While a run is active, the “Collect Wins” objective tracks your progress on screen. It starts at 0/2 and only advances when you cross the line at the end of the track, so an incomplete run counts for nothing. Repeat the same course to fill the counter to 2/2.

Note: If the counter is not moving, you are almost certainly turning back or dying before the finish. Wins are awarded on completion, not on distance travelled.

How to unlock and equip a new tail

Banked wins unlock upgraded tails, which are the game’s stat-boosting cosmetics. Once you have enough wins for the next tier, select it and equip it rather than assuming it applies on its own.

You will know it worked because a confirmation appears reading “Level 2 Tail Equipped!” for that tier, and your squirrel’s tail changes to match. If no message appears, the tail is unlocked but not equipped.

How rebirth works and when to use it

Rebirth is the game’s reset button, and it is meant to be pressed. Confirming a rebirth clears your accumulated speed level and returns you to the bottom of the ladder, but it grants a permanent multiplier that makes every future treadmill session pay out more than the last.

The rebirth prompt also offers a “Skip Rebirth” option if you would rather not sit through the reset. Once the rebirth goes through, your speed level drops back to Level 1 and starts climbing again at the improved rate, which is the only confirmation you need.

Tip: Rebirth when the treadmill starts feeling slow relative to the stage you are stuck on. Grinding levels without a multiplier behind them is the most common way to stall out.

Free speed from the group reward and playtime rewards

Two menus hand out speed for effectively nothing, and both are worth clearing in your first minute. The “Free Gift!” panel offers +7.5K SPEED for joining the game’s Roblox group. Press the JOIN GROUP button in that dialog, accept the group on Roblox, then return to claim the reward.

The Playtime Rewards menu unlocks bonuses on a timer while you stay in the server. Open it periodically and hit CLAIM ALL to collect everything that has matured instead of tapping rewards one at a time.

You can jump into the experience from its official Roblox page, which runs 10-player servers and sits in the incremental simulator category alongside its monkey and chicken counterparts.

Played efficiently, a session looks like this: claim the group gift and any waiting playtime rewards, train on the treadmill until the level counter feels comfortable, run stages until the win objective fills, equip whatever tail those wins unlocked, then rebirth and do it again with a bigger multiplier behind every step.
