Eggs are the whole economy in Jump for Animals!, the AnimalByte simulation game where every animal you hatch pays out cash per second, even while you’re offline. More pets means more income, and more income means better gear, which means you can jump high enough to reach the areas holding the good eggs. It’s a loop, and it only moves in one direction if you keep all four parts of it running.

Quick answer: Train with the barbells to raise Jump Power, buy the best Trail and Coil you can afford, then jump to an outer area like the Coral Reef, grab a guarded egg, run it back to your plot, and drop it in a free pen to hatch.

Start with the free eggs at your base

Before any of the climbing matters, you need income. The starter eggs sit right at your plot and restock on a timer, with an “All eggs have been restocked!” message when a fresh batch lands. Servers cap at five players, and a fuller server speeds the cycle up — at four players you’ll see “4 players! Eggs restock 1m faster!”

The three common animals you’ll hatch first set the baseline for everything after.

AnimalRarityIncome
ChickenCommon$1/s
Guienna PigCommon$2/s
BunnyCommon$5/s

Hatch every basic egg you can each restock. Duplicates still generate cash, and the first copy of anything new also feeds your Index.

Claim Index rewards for every animal you discover

Every first-time hatch throws up a discovery banner — “Guienna Pig discovered in the Index!” or “Bunny discovered in the Index!” — but the cash attached to it does not pay itself. Open the Index menu and hit Claim All! to collect. You’ll get a confirmation reading “Claimed rewards for 3 Index animals!” or however many are pending.

Get in the habit of opening the Index after every batch of hatches. Those payouts are the fastest early source of the cash you need for your first Trail and Coil.

Raise Jump Power with training, Trails, and Coils

Jump Power is the gate on everything. You build it by training with the barbells at your plot, which grants jump XP and levels you up. Trails multiply how fast that stat climbs while you train, and Coils raise your movement speed, which matters for outrunning the giant animals guarding the eggs.

Walk up to the weights and start a training session. Your avatar performs reps automatically and the level counter ticks up as XP accumulates. Press Stop when you want to bank progress and move.

Visit the Trail shop next to your base and equip the best multiplier you can pay for. The Blue Trail is free and unlocks during the tutorial, so there is never a reason to train without one equipped.

Trails also change the visual effect trailing your avatar, so you can swap to whichever one you prefer when you aren’t training. The multiplier only applies to jump gains during reps, so switch back before you start a session.

Buy a Coil from the neighboring shop. Speed shortens every egg run, and the run back is the part where you get caught.

Steal higher-tier eggs from the outer areas

The good eggs aren’t sold, they’re guarded. Areas open up in a fixed ladder as your Jump Power grows, starting from the Meadow Area at ground level and climbing outward and upward from there. The Coral Reef Area is the first real step past the starter zone, and it’s where eggs like the Pufferfish Egg and Boxfish Egg live.

Cross the Meadow Area and keep climbing until the next zone name appears on screen. If a platform is out of reach, you don’t have the Jump Power for that area yet — go back and train.

Walk up to a guarded egg and hold the E prompt labeled “Steal!” until the grab completes. You’ll see “Egg grabbed! Run back to Start!” the moment it’s in your hands.

Run the egg all the way back to Start without getting caught. A clean delivery is confirmed by a message naming the egg, such as “Pufferfish Egg stolen successfully!” If that banner doesn’t appear, the run didn’t count and the egg goes back.
Head to your plot and place the egg in an empty pen. The game confirms with “Pufferfish Egg placed!” or the matching name for whatever you carried home. One pen holds one egg, so keep a slot free before you leave on a run.

Tip: do back-to-back runs. Once you’ve cleared the route to an area, a second trip for another egg — the Boxfish Egg, say — costs far less time than the first one did, because you already know the jumps.

Hatch the stolen eggs and confirm the pet

A placed egg runs a countdown of roughly one minute and 40 seconds, shown on the egg itself with an E prompt to skip the wait. When the timer ends, the animal appears in the pen, starts producing cash per second, and — if it’s new to you — triggers an Index discovery you can then claim.

Don’t stand there watching it. Go back to the barbells and train while the countdown runs — that dead time is free Jump Power, and it’s how you shorten the gap to the next area.

Why an egg run fails

There are only a few ways a run comes apart, and all of them are fixable.

  • You can’t reach the area. Jump Power is too low. Train with a Trail equipped until the platforms connect.
  • You never see “stolen successfully!” The egg only counts once you’re back at Start. A Coil upgrade makes that return trip survivable.
  • The egg won’t place. Every pen on your plot is occupied. Wait for a hatch to finish or skip a timer to free a slot.
  • Base eggs are empty. The restock timer hasn’t cycled. It runs faster with more players in the server.

Keep the four moves rotating — train, climb, steal, hatch — and the collection grows on its own. Your animals keep earning while you’re logged out, so the cash waiting when you return is usually enough to jump a Trail or Coil tier, which is exactly what unlocks the next area of eggs.
