Most Wanted is a single-player, combat-focused survival mode built into Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. It takes the game’s core combat and reshapes it into self-contained roguelike runs, and its roster of four playable characters now includes Jin Sakai, the protagonist of Ghost of Tsushima.
Quick answer: Jin Sakai is the fourth playable character in Most Wanted. Play the mode, spend Mon on character unlocks, and you can select him alongside Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato. The mode launches October 1, 2026, with Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition and the Complete Edition upgrade.
How a Most Wanted run works
Each run starts at the bounty board. You pick a bounty targeting a member of the Yōtei Six, then fight through waves of enemies and minibosses to reach that bounty’s boss. Clearing each wave lets you choose a perk, and stacking the right perks is how you build power inside a single run.
Runs are self-contained. When you die, the run ends, and you start over. Bounties can be replayed at higher difficulty levels for better rewards, and the hardest bounty is reserved for the game’s main villain, Lord Saito.
Perks are the heart of each build. As you progress, you regularly choose between options covering weapon mastery, gear loadouts, summons, parries, and survivability. Mixing and matching these is what changes how a run plays out and where the surprises come from.

Add to Google Preferences →Spending Mon between runs
You earn Mon as you play, and you spend it outside of runs. Mon buys new techniques, weapon upgrades, charms, and character unlocks, all of which make you stronger going into future runs. This is the currency that gates the extra characters, so building up Mon is how you add Oyuki, Nagato, and Jin to your selection.
Cosmetics you earn in Most Wanted carry over. You can wear them in the main game during Atsu’s story, and in the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion.
The four playable characters
Atsu is the default starting character. The other three, including Jin, must be unlocked. Everyone begins with a katana, but each fighter brings unique weapons, abilities, an Ultimate, and a Kill Streak, so each one plays differently.
| Character | Weapons | Ultimate | Kill Streak |
|---|---|---|---|
| Atsu (default) | Dual katana, Metsubushi (Blinding Powder), Blind Bomb | Call of the Pack (summons two wolves) | Onryō’s Howl (terrifies nearby enemies, forces one to flee) |
| Oyuki | Kusarigama, kunai, tanegashima (rifle) | Shadow Killer (smoke, then assassinates two nearby enemies) | Shadow Shinobi (summons a Nine Tails ally) |
| Nagato | Yari (spear), tanzutsu (pistol), yumi (long bow), hankyu (short bow) | Gambler’s Mark (guaranteed headshots on two enemies) | Blast Arrow (refills Concentration, grants an explosive arrow) |
| Jin Sakai | Katana with all four Tsushima stances, Sticky Bomb, hankyu | Dance of Wrath (targets and disarms multiple enemies) | Ghost Stance (terrifies nearby enemies, one-hit kills a limited number) |

What Jin Sakai brings back from Tsushima
Jin arrives with all four of his signature stances from Ghost of Tsushima, letting you switch between them to exploit different enemy weaknesses. His character model was carried over from Tsushima and updated to match Ghost of Yōtei’s presentation.
His toolkit leans on his original moveset. The Dance of Wrath skill returns as his Ultimate, disarming several enemies at once, and Ghost Stance is his Kill Streak, terrifying the enemies around him and killing a limited number in single hits. He also starts with a Sticky Bomb and a hankyu alongside his katana.
How to get Most Wanted and unlock Jin

Note: Existing owners can grab the upgrade from the official PlayStation Store. Buying the Complete Edition or pre-ordering the upgrade by September 30 also grants an early unlock of the Sakai Armor for Atsu on October 1, which can otherwise be earned by playing Most Wanted.
Between the escalating bounties, the perk-driven builds, and four fighters who each attack in a distinct way, Most Wanted is designed to keep run-to-run play varied. Jin’s inclusion gives long-time Tsushima players a familiar stance system to lean on while they chase Lord Saito at the top of the difficulty ladder.
