Breathedge 2: How to Unlock Public Enemy No. 1 (+5% Flight Speed)

Steal the giant donut off the police station outside Outskirts and keep a permanent flight speed bonus.

Steal the giant donut off the police station outside Outskirts and keep a permanent flight speed bonus.

Breathedge 2 hands out stat boosts for doing dumb things, and one of the easiest ones is parked right outside your starting area. Public enemy no. 1 is an exploration achievement tied to a single object, a giant donut strapped to the roof of the police station near Outskirts. Rip it off and you keep a permanent movement buff for the rest of the run.

Quick answer: Leave the Outskirts station, fly left until you see the POLICE sign, grab the oversized donut on top of the building and pull it free. The achievement pops the moment the donut rips out.

What Public enemy no. 1 rewards

Every achievement in Breathedge 2 attaches a stat bonus to your character, and they are all listed under the rewards tab in-game. There are 39 in total, so the counter in that menu doubles as your progress tracker.

There is no crime more heinous than depriving law enforcement of its primary nutrient.

The bonus is permanent and applies as soon as it unlocks. You do not need to equip anything or spend a resource to activate it.

How to steal the donut from the police station

The whole thing takes under two minutes from the moment you step outside. You do not need a weapon, a tool or any crafted gear for it.

Head to the exit door inside the Outskirts station and interact with it to get out into open space. This is the same airlock you use for normal scavenging trips, so nothing special is required first.

Once outside, turn left and fly along the exterior. Keep your eyes on the buildings ahead until the lit POLICE sign comes into view.

Fly up to the roof of the police station. The donut is a huge prop held down by straps, and looking at it gives you a “Rip out” prompt.

Hold the interaction and pull until the donut tears loose. The achievement banner appears at this exact moment, and the police bots immediately start shouting and chasing you.
Turn around and fly straight back to the Outskirts station without stopping to fight. Entering the station ends the pursuit, and the cops give up with a warning line rather than taking the reward back.

Note: the chase is scripted noise more than a real threat. Getting caught does not lock you out of the achievement, because the unlock already happened when the donut came free.

How to confirm the +5% flight speed applied

Open the rewards menu and look for Public enemy no. 1 in the list. An unlocked entry shows the requirement line, the flavor text about law enforcement’s primary nutrient, and the bonus line reading “flight speed +5%”. The counter at the top of the menu also ticks up by one out of 39.

If the entry is still greyed out, the pull did not register. The most common reason is releasing the interaction early, so the donut wobbles but never separates from the roof. Go back, hold it until the prop physically rips away, and watch for the on-screen unlock banner.

Other achievements that add flight speed

The donut is not the only source of that stat. Two more achievements grant the same +5% flight speed, and they are all worth grabbing early since the bonuses are permanent.

AchievementHow it unlocks
Public enemy no. 1Rip the large donut off the police station roof
JackedUse the exercise machine near the third antenna area 10 times
CuriousRemove your helmet outside in space, then re-equip it immediately

Curious is the risky one of the three, since taking your helmet off in space will kill you if you leave it off too long.

Since the donut sits within sight of your starting hub, it is one of the first buffs you can pick up in Breathedge 2, and faster flight makes every later scavenging trip shorter. Grab it on your first trip outside, take the chase, and duck back into the station.
