Halloween: The Game – Chapter 2 Loomis Log Locations

Chapter 2 drops Michael Myers into Main Street, the first stretch of Haddonfield where several buildings, targets, and mechanics open up at once. Two Loomis Logs are hidden here, and both sit in easy-to-miss spots while you hunt your special victims. Grab them and you carry the story tapes into the Graveyard Menu for playback later.

Quick answer: The first Loomis Log is inside the record shop north-west of the hardware store, resting on a stack of boxes by a pillar near the display shelves. The second is on the fireplace mantel inside the lone house north of the graveyard in the south-east corner of the map.

Both Chapter 2 Loomis Log locations

When the round begins, the only place you can enter is the shop shown in the cutscene. After you finish there, the rest of the town becomes accessible and the two logs are spread across it.

Leave the hardware store and head north-west toward the record shop. Tanya, one of the two special victims for the chapter, is inside. If you cannot spot the building, trigger Shape Jump to reveal the yellow beams shining up from the sky and move toward them as you exit.

Approach the shop to play the cutscene that shows Tanya inside. Deal with Tanya first before you go looking for the tape. If she escapes, the level fails and you lose the run.

Move into the room with the display shelves, away from the cash register. Look for the pillar with boxes stacked next to it. The recording sits on top of those boxes. Use the retrieve interaction to pick it up.

Note: Because failing to catch Tanya ends the chapter, prioritize her over the collectible even though both are in the same building.

Main Street has many optional buildings you can walk through, including shops, a post office, and a handful of houses. The second log lives inside one of those optional houses, so it is easy to skip if you stick to the main targets.

Find the graveyard, the large grassy area in the south-east corner of the map. Just north of it is a single house that Michael can enter. Head to that house.

Before entering, cut the phone lines to stop any resident inside from placing a 911 call. If someone is home, try to catch them quickly so they cannot run to another phone or escape the area.

Go through the front door and turn into the room on the right. A fireplace sits along the east wall, and the collectible tape is waiting on the mantel. Pick it up to add it to your collection.

How to confirm you got both

Each pickup registers through the retrieve collectible prompt, and the tapes stack toward the campaign total of 14. After clearing the Prelude, Chapter 1, and Chapter 2, your count should read 6 of 14 collectibles gathered. Open the Graveyard Menu from the main menu and scroll to the tape entry on the left to listen back to everything you have found and check that both Main Street logs are logged.
