The prologue of The Blood of Dawnwalker keeps Coen on a short leash. You get a handful of daylight hours before the Blood Mass, time is spent like currency, and the quests you leave unfinished simply vanish once the story moves on. What the prologue does not restrict is what you carry out of the village. Two neighbouring huts in Laslea Glen are stocked with food and consumables that nobody is guarding, and everything inside can be taken in a couple of minutes.
Quick answer: Place a custom marker on the hut near the northern edge of the village, make a manual save, then enter and take the hanging sausages, dried fish, cabbage and onions plus the chest contents. Walk east to the adjacent hut and loot its barrels, tables and chests for pretzels, venison, lamb, carrots and fruit juice.
Where the two huts are on the prologue map
Both huts sit inside the prologue village, at its northern edge. Open the world map, zoom into the cluster of houses, and drop a custom marker on the hut closest to that northern boundary. That marker is what you follow on foot, since the game gives you no quest pointer for either building.

The second hut is a neighbour of the first, a few steps east. You do not need to reopen the map for it. Once you step back outside, it is the next door in front of you.

This works comfortably while you are on the Withering Away objective to obtain medicinal herbs from Anca, since you are already crossing the village on foot at that point.

Add to Google Preferences →Save manually before you steal anything
Every item in these two huts is taken through a Steal prompt rather than a plain pickup. Make a manual save in its own slot before you walk through the first door. The game gives you 54 manual save slots, so there is no reason to overwrite anything, and a clean save lets you roll back the whole detour if you dislike how it plays out.
Note: The prologue’s quests are all timed and missable. Keep an eye on your remaining time segments before you commit to a full sweep of both buildings.

Full item list for both huts
| Hut | Items |
|---|---|
| First hut (northern marker) | Sausage, Dried Fish, Cabbage, Onion, Saffron Milk Cap, Wild Boar Hide |
| Second hut (adjacent, east) | Pretzel, Venison, Lamb, Carrot, Onion, Fruit Juice, Demorist, Common Yarrow, Head, Torn Trousers |
How to confirm the run worked
Each successful theft throws a pickup notification on screen with the item name and quantity, so you can track the haul without pausing. Open your inventory once you leave the second hut and check the consumables tab against the table above. Anything missing is almost always a container you walked past, since several items share a single room and only trigger their prompt when you are lined up with them directly.
There are two situations where this stops being possible. Both huts belong to the prologue village, so once the story moves you into the open world of Vale Sangora, this particular stash is behind you. And if you burn through your remaining time segments before reaching the huts, sundown arrives and the prologue moves on regardless of what is still sitting on those shelves.
The practical value here is straightforward. Food restores health outside combat, healing mid-fight is difficult, and the prologue hands you very little money — you start with 25 Denarius and Anca’s herbs alone cost 50. A full pack of sausages, venison and lamb going into the mines is worth the two minutes it costs you.
