Three of the strongest pieces of equipment in The Blood of Dawnwalker sit behind one priest. Father Florin, who you meet inside the cathedral in Svartrau City, opens a chain of quests that leads down into an ancient temple beneath the city. Clear it properly and you walk out with a unique longsword, a unique heavy chestpiece, and a unique shortsword.
Quick answer: Talk to Father Florin in the Svartrau City cathedral and confess three sins to start “In the Name of the Father.” His Hero’s End quest takes you into the temple below the city, where killing Rigos, the Betrayed Hero drops the Ancient Hero’s Armour, clearing the kobolds unlocks the chest holding The Hand of Fate, and inspecting the strange mural down there starts The Champion of Old, which ends with Erkas the Repenter and Erkas’s Sword.
What the three Father Florin legendary items are
| Item | Type | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Ancient Hero’s Armour | Heavy chestpiece | Killing Rigos, the Betrayed Hero in the temple beneath Svartrau City during Hero’s End |
| The Hand of Fate | Shortsword | A locked chest in the same temple, opened after the kobolds in the area are dealt with |
| Erkas’s Sword | Longsword | Completing The Champion of Old and beating the miniboss Erkas the Repenter |
All three are Unique rarity, which is the top tier in the game. Filling every equipment slot with items of that tier unlocks the Gear of the Gods trophy, so these three cover a large chunk of that requirement in one trip.

Ancient Hero’s Armour: Beat Rigos in the temple beneath Svartrau City
Hero’s End is the quest that takes you into the ancient temple under the city, and it is the same dungeon that holds The Hand of Fate. The main objective ends with a miniboss named Rigos, the Betrayed Hero. Killing him is what puts the Ancient Hero’s Armour in your hands.

The chestpiece is heavy armour with 91 Armour Power and a weight of 10.9. Its effects are +13% Health Regen, +6% Focus Charges Active Regen Multiplier, +6% Damage Against Corrupted, and +6% Magic Damage, which makes it a natural fit for a witchcraft-leaning build that still wants to stand in melee range.
Tip: if the fight is going badly, watch for the Voracious Bite prompt. It is a free chunk of damage and healing in the middle of a miniboss fight.

The Hand of Fate: Clear the kobolds and open the locked chest
The Hand of Fate does not come from the boss. It sits in a chest in the same temple, and the chest stays shut until you have explored the area and dealt with the kobolds crawling through it. Sweep the side rooms rather than running straight to the objective marker.
When you reach the chest, the game offers the strange stone key as a dialogue option. Pick it to open the container and take the shortsword.

The weapon leans entirely into magic. Its stat boosts cover witchcraft ability cooldown, witchcraft ability damage, and activation charge restoration, so it pairs cleanly with the Ancient Hero’s Armour you just picked up in the same dungeon.
Erkas’s Sword: Find the mural, then kill Erkas the Repenter
The third item is easy to miss because nothing points you at it. While you are down in the ancient ruins below Svartrau City, look for a strange mural on the walls. Inspecting it starts a separate quest called The Champion of Old and drops a new marker on your map.
Once you are finished with Florin’s business, travel to that marker and fight the miniboss Erkas the Repenter. The sword is the reward for finishing The Champion of Old.

Erkas’s Sword is described in-game as an ancient vrakhir-slayer’s weapon, and the numbers back up the anti-monster theme.
| Erkas’s Sword | Value |
|---|---|
| Max Damage | 69 |
| Weight | 1.7 |
| Damage Against Corrupted | +8% |
| Melee Critical Hit Chance | +5% |
| Sword Critical Damage | +7.5% |
| Health Amount | +15% |
How to confirm you actually got all three
Open your inventory and check rarity rather than trusting the quest log. Each of the three shows as Unique, and the two swords sit in the weapon list while the Ancient Hero’s Armour occupies the chest slot. If Hero’s End has closed out and you only have two of the three, the missing one is almost always The Hand of Fate, because its chest is optional and easy to walk past.
There are only a few reasons the rewards do not appear. The Champion of Old will never show up on your map if you never interacted with the mural underground. The Hand of Fate chest stays locked while kobolds are still alive in that part of the temple. And Erkas’s Sword only drops once Erkas the Repenter is dead, not when you arrive at the location.
If you pick these up early in the campaign, the raw numbers will start looking thin against later enemies. That is not a reason to shelve them. Blacksmiths and armourers can upgrade weapons and armour, so a unique item taken from the temple under Svartrau City can stay in your loadout for the rest of the run.
