The Secrets Master is one of the easiest NPCs in the First Sea to walk straight past. He does not stand in the square, he is not near the fountain, and he has no quest marker floating over him. He is tucked away on the upper floor of Middle Town’s biggest building, facing a window, and most players never look up long enough to spot him.
Quick answer: Travel to Middle Town in Sea 1, walk into the large central building with the green domed roof, climb to the upper level, and look for the NPC standing beside a window on the upper walkway. That is the Secrets Master.

Add to Google Preferences →What the Secrets Master dialogue does
Walk up to him and the standard Interact prompt appears. Triggering it opens a short dialogue menu with three real options plus a way out, and each one does something different.

| Dialogue option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tell me a secret, please! | Asks him directly for a secret. He deflects with a line about not becoming the Secrets Master by telling. |
| I heard you knew a helpful secret about Middle Town. | Steers the conversation specifically toward Middle Town rather than secrets in general. |
| Which boss stirs next? | Gives you boss spawn information, so you can plan around which boss is coming up. |
| Nevermind | Closes the conversation with no effect. |
The boss spawn line is the practical reason to remember where he stands. Instead of guessing at timers, you can drop into Middle Town, ask, and get an answer about what is stirring next.
How to confirm you found the right NPC
You have the right one when the name above him reads Secrets Master and the interaction opens the dialogue list above rather than a shop or a quest board. If a menu of purchasable items appears, you have walked up to a dealer instead.
Note: he does not hand out a quest, an item, or a marker on your screen. The reward for finding him is the conversation itself, so do not expect a completion pop-up.
Why players miss the Secrets Master
- Searching only at ground level. He is on the upper floor, and the ground floor gives no hint that anyone is above you.
- Sweeping the fountain square instead of going inside. The square is where the town’s other NPCs cluster, so it is the natural place to look first.
- Running past him on the walkway. He stands off to the side facing a window, not in your path, and there is no marker drawing your eye toward him.
Once you have made the trip once, the route is short enough to repeat whenever you want a boss spawn check. Enter the domed building, take the stairs, turn to the windows on the walkway, and he is right there.
