Blox Fruits Update 30: How to Unlock the Jungle Secret

Repair the broken zipline on Jungle Island with the Grappling Hook and collect a huge EXP payout from the Adventurer.

Repair the broken zipline on Jungle Island with the Grappling Hook and collect a huge EXP payout from the Adventurer.

Jungle Island got rebuilt in Blox Fruits Update 30, and one of its hidden objectives is a broken zipline that nobody bothered to fix. The Adventurer standing in the middle of the island will hint at it if you pick the right dialogue line, and finishing the job pays out one of the largest single EXP rewards in the First Sea.

Quick answer: Talk to the Adventurer and choose the Rumor option, cross the bridge to the island with the tall tower, grab the Grappling Hook from the crates at its base, climb the rope ladder, then fire the hook at the wooden frame to rebuild the zipline and ride it back before returning to the Adventurer.

What you need before starting the zipline secret

There is no gear check here. You do not need a sword, a fruit move, or a specific level to run the zipline objective, and no combat is involved at any point. The only requirement is reaching Jungle Island and finding the Adventurer, who stands near the center of the island close to the water.

The one thing that matters is the dialogue. The Adventurer offers normal grind quests for Monkeys, Gorillas, and the Gorilla King, and those are separate. The secret only opens through the Rumor option, where he complains that the islands are too far apart and wishes someone would rig a faster way across.

How to repair the Jungle Island zipline

Walk up to the Adventurer in the middle of Jungle Island and open his dialogue. Scroll past the mob quests and select Rumor to start the objective.

Head across the bridge toward the newly extended part of the area, where a tall tower rises out of the water. This is the structure the zipline is supposed to connect to, and it is visible from the main island.

At the base of the tower, look for the wooden crates on the ground. The Grappling Hook is sitting right next to them, and an E Pick Up prompt appears when you get close enough.

Climb the rope ladder running up the side of the tower until you reach the platform at the top. Taking the ladder is the reliable route, though any movement ability that gets you onto the platform works the same way.

Equip the Grappling Hook from your hotbar and aim it at the wooden frame on the platform. Firing it strings the line across, and a Use Zipline prompt replaces the pickup prompt.
Trigger the prompt and ride the line back down to the main island. The objective is registered the moment the zipline is rebuilt, but the ride drops you close to the quest giver anyway.

How to know the secret registered, and how to claim the EXP

Once the hook connects, an on-screen message reads “The zipline runs again! Claim your reward from the quest giver.” That line is your confirmation. If it never appears, the hook did not attach to the frame and you should try the throw again from the top platform.

Return to the Adventurer and speak to him a second time. He responds with “Good work. Here’s something for your trouble,” and the EXP lands immediately. The payout is substantial enough to move a level-2799 character up to 2804 in one turn-in, and Update 30 lets secret completions carry you past the normal cap, up to Level 3000.

Note: each island secret you clear also awards a Star, and Stars are what feed into the new teleporter in Middle Town. Clearing the zipline alone will not unlock Jungle Island as a teleport destination, so it is worth mopping up the island’s other objectives while you are there.

Common reasons the zipline objective does not trigger

Most failed attempts come down to one of a few things, all of them easy to correct.

  • You accepted a Monkey, Gorilla, or Gorilla King quest instead of picking the Rumor line from the Adventurer.
  • You climbed the tower without the Grappling Hook in hand, or unequipped it on the way up.
  • You aimed the hook at the tower structure rather than the wooden frame on the top platform.
  • You rebuilt the zipline but never went back to the Adventurer, so the EXP is still sitting unclaimed.

The other Jungle Island secrets

Jungle Island holds three secrets in total, spread across both islands in the group. The zipline is the most straightforward of them, and one more has a confirmed location.

SecretWhere to find it
Repair the ziplineTall tower on the extended part of the island; Grappling Hook sits at its base
Secret roomCenter of the island near the quest NPC; take the ladder down and drop through the hole in the ground
Third secretNot yet pinned down; a monkey has run off with the Adventurer’s hat into the trees, and a green button sits on a large tree near the dock

The zipline is a good first stop if you are working through the reworked First Sea, since it costs nothing but a short climb and hands back an enormous chunk of EXP. Once it is running, the line stays usable as a shortcut between the two Jungle islands.
