Anime Expeditions Update 2.5: How to Solo Snowy Castle Raid Act 3

Snowy Castle Act 3 is the wall most solo players hit in Update 2.5 of Anime Expeditions. There are exactly two ways through it. Either you bring a roster strong enough to out-damage the act on its own, or you buy your way past the damage check with Raid Shop totems.

Quick answer: Run Sinbad, Judar, Cubert, Salmon Sorcerer, Stone Alchemist and Forbidden Teacher, with Unbound on Sinbad, Judar and Cubert. If you don’t have those Unbound units, AFK farm Snowy Castle Act 2 for Raid Tokens and buy five Snowy Castle Totems at 75 tokens each, which stacks to a 50 percent damage boost inside Snowy Castle.

The Act 3 team that clears without totems

The no-totem clear leans on three Unbound carries and a supporting cast that keeps the economy and buffs running. Salmon Sorcerer is the piece that stays useful in either approach, so it’s worth investing in early.

Judar (Dark Mage, Sovereign)Unbound
CubertUnbound
Salmon SorcererNone
Stone AlchemistNone — economy unit
Forbidden TeacherNone

If all three Unbound slots are filled, Act 3 goes down without any raid-specific damage buffs. Miss even one of them and the run gets tight, which is where the second route comes in.

Snowy Castle Totems: The 50 percent damage route

Totems are sold by Forbidden Teacher at the Raid Shop. Each Snowy Castle Totem costs 75 Raid Tokens and adds 10 percent unit damage inside Snowy Castle, and the bonus stacks. Five totems put you at 50 percent, which is enough for a mixed team of ordinary units plus Salmon Sorcerer and farms to grind Act 3 down.

Act 2 pays out 15 Raid Tokens per clear, so the full five-totem set works out to roughly 25 completed runs. That’s an overnight AFK job rather than a manual grind, which is exactly why the auto play configuration below matters.

Setting up the Act 2 token farm

Snowy Castle Act 2 is the token source, and it has a second draw: it can reward the Eclipse Hunter unit. Set it up once, correctly, and it will loop on its own.

Load into Snowy Castle Act 2 and stand your character near the enemy spawn point before enabling Auto Play. The position you pick is where the automation anchors its placements.
Open gameplay settings and turn Auto Retry ON and Auto Next OFF. Auto Retry is what restarts Act 2 after every win; leaving Auto Next on would push you into a different act and break the loop.
Enable Auto-Sell Farms on Last Wave and Strict Auto-Upgrade Priority. The first converts your farms into yen when they stop earning, and the second forces the game to follow the priority order you set instead of upgrading whatever it wants.
Reorder your loadout so the cheapest farms sit in slots 1 and 2. Auto Play places units strictly left to right by slot, so an expensive DPS unit parked in slot 1 will stall the entire opening while the game waits for yen.

Set the auto upgrade priorities per slot, using the table below. Farms get everything first, then the main damage dealer, then the sub-DPS.

Start the run and confirm the Auto Playing indicator stays lit. From here the loop runs unattended, banking 15 Raid Tokens per clear.

How to confirm the farm and the totems are working

A successful Act 2 run ends on the victory screen with a 15x Raid Token payout listed among the rewards. If the loop is healthy, that screen will appear and the match will restart on its own rather than sitting idle or dropping you back to the lobby.

For the totems, check your item count after each Raid Shop purchase. Owned totems are tracked in the items menu, and the boost applies passively inside Snowy Castle — there is nothing to equip or activate before a run.

Note: Buy totems in the Raid Shop between runs, not mid-loop. Leaving the match interrupts Auto Retry and you’ll need to re-enable Auto Play when you return.

Why AFK runs stop working

  • Auto Next was left ON, so the game advanced to a different act instead of repeating Act 2.
  • An expensive unit sits in slot 1 or 2, so the left-to-right placement order stalls before farms go down.
  • Strict Auto-Upgrade Priority is off, letting yen drain into units that aren’t carrying the run.
  • The support unit in slot 6 still has auto upgrade enabled, eating money that should go to farms and DPS.

The choice between the two routes is really a choice between roster luck and time. Three Unbound units get you into Act 3 immediately; five totems get you there after about 25 Act 2 clears you barely have to watch. Either way, the 50 percent damage stack stays permanent once bought, so the totem investment keeps paying off long after your first Act 3 win.
