Valheim 1.0 Achievements and How to Get All 53 of Them

Every Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum reward in the 1.0 update, with the exact requirement that trips each one.

Every Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum reward in the 1.0 update, with the exact requirement that trips each one.

Valheim finally added a full achievement set with its 1.0 launch, and it turns the survival loop into a proper checklist. Most rewards land at the Bronze tier, with a small run of Silver, Gold, and one Platinum capstone. Some pop naturally as you play, while a handful will never trigger unless you go looking for them.

Quick answer: There are 53 achievements. Grind the counters (building, food, honey, trees, crops), clear every boss and miniboss, hit every crafting and exploration milestone, then chain those into the “spirit” achievements. The Platinum, The Most Worthy, unlocks only after every other achievement is done.

One thing to lock in first: the tracker starts counting from the moment you install 1.0. Old progress does not carry over, so an achievement tied to killing Eikthyr needs a fresh kill even if you dropped him a hundred times in Early Access.

Boss and miniboss achievements

Each main boss carries its own achievement, listed under an alternate title rather than the boss name you know. Summon each one from its altar, drop it, and the reward pops. Clearing the full roster then feeds the difficulty-based milestones.

On top of the individual kills, a few achievements reward how you fight and how hard you set the game.

Note: The Toughest Viking rolls up the two lower Viking tiers, since clearing every boss on hard also satisfies “any” and “normal or higher.”

Building and comfort achievements

The building rewards mix simple counters with a few vague “how tall” and “how high” goals. Each wall or roof piece adds to your total, so spreading bases across biomes speeds the counter up.

The ArchitectBronzeBuild a village (add a boundary, a second building, and a fire)
The BuilderBronzePlace 500 build pieces

Food, farming, and gathering

These are pure grind, and they overlap. Eating berries and mushrooms feeds both the forager count and the food count, and cooking every dish also completes the fishing set through recipes.

AchievementRarityRequirement

The ForagerBronzePick 250 berries and 250 mushrooms
The BeekeeperBronzeHarvest 500 honey
The FarmerBronzeHarvest 500 crops

The Chosen One is the one crafting reward with a fixed recipe. Build Dyrnwyn at a Level 4 Black Forge using 1x Dyrnwyn Hilt Fragment, 1x Dyrnwyn Blade Fragment, 1x Dyrnwyn Tip Fragment, 20x Flametal, and 1x Bloodstone.

Exploration and sailing

You do not literally have to lap the globe. The sailing counters tick up over long voyages, and the “far in all four directions” pair just wants you to push toward the map edges.

AchievementRarityRequirement
I Have Arrived!BronzeEnter the tenth world (unlocks on arrival at the Sacrificial Stones)
The ExplorerBronzeTravel far in all four directions
The PathfinderBronzeTravel far in all four directions without opening the map
The SailorBronzeSail far enough to circle the world twice
The CaptainBronzeSail that distance while manning the helm (usually pops The Sailor too)
The Treasure HunterBronzeDiscover 10 buried treasure chests
No Time For SnoozingBronzeAwaken a sea creature
The Legends Are TrueBronzeSail over the edge of the world

Survival and death-based achievements

Two of these pull in opposite directions. Are you alright? asks you to die in every way possible, while The Survivor wants you alive for 30 days straight. Knock out the deaths first, then start a clean survival run so one does not sabotage the other.

AchievementRarityRequirement
The First of ManyBronzeDie for the first time
Accidents HappenBronzeGet killed by a tree
That Can’t Be an AccidentBronzeGet killed by every kind of tree
ObliteratedBronzeStand too close to an explosion
Are you alright?BronzeDie in every way possible
The SurvivorBronzeSurvive for 30 consecutive days

The spirit achievements and the Platinum

The last few rewards do not need new tasks. They “embody” combinations of earlier achievements, so finishing the components unlocks them automatically.

AchievementRarityRequired achievements

Kings and Queens of ValheimGoldThe Viking, The Hunter, The Artisan, The Master Chef, The Carpenter, The Explorer
The Most WorthyPlatinumEvery other achievement in the game

Why an achievement won’t unlock

The most common blocker is cheating. Using console commands such as spawn places a permanent flag on your character and world, and the achievements screen will state outright that they are disabled. Characters that used commands before 1.0 carry the same flag.

A few edge cases are recoverable. Picking up a cheated item puts you in a temporary locked state, and you become eligible again once you throw every cheated item out of your inventory, as long as you were not the one who spawned it. Certain world modifiers, including hammer-mode, count as a temporary cheat and block specific achievements too. A couple of devcommands like freefly are exceptions and do not flag you.

Everything unlocks in-game and mirrors to Steam achievements, and the set is live on PC and console alike. If a counter seems stuck, confirm you are on a clean, non-cheated save, since the tracker only credits progress made after the 1.0 install.
