Shindo Life: How to Build the Madara and Hashirama Duo From Level 1

The exact boss rotation, stat spread, and bloodline levels needed to take both characters to the level 1000 cap.

Building a matching Madara and Hashirama pair in Shindo Life is a leveling problem before it is a cosmetic one. Both characters lean on bloodline moves and hidden techniques that stay locked until your account level and your bloodline level are high enough, which means the entire run comes down to a repeatable boss rotation and a clean stat spread.

Quick answer: Farm boss event quests — Sand Crawler, Jayramaki, Headless Korashi, Apol Gen 3, Chu Gen 1, then Shindai Akuma and Satori Spirit — until your character hits the level 1000 cap, spend every stat point across Chi, Nin, Tai, and HP as you go, then level the Shindai Yang bloodline to 800 so all three of its moves unlock.

What each character needs before the grind starts

The two builds share the same progression path and split only on appearance and move loadout. Madara runs the Shindai Akuma and Shindai Yang side of the kit, including the Susanoo-style awaken forms and the Shindai Style techniques that drop from the Shindai Akuma boss. Hashirama’s build pulls from Wood Style, so moves such as Wood Style: Strike Attack and Wood Style: Wood bind get slotted onto the hotbar once the Ryo is there to unlock them.

CharacterLook and loadout
MadaraDark robes with spiky black hair. Shindai Akuma and Shindai Yang in the bloodline slots, plus Shindai Style: Amethyst Lightning and Shindai Style: Sunflower Illusion from boss drops.
HashiramaRed armor with straight black hair. Wood Style attacks unlocked from the ability menu and assigned to the hotbar.

Bloodlines come out of the spinning menu in character customization, so both slots need to be settled before you commit to the level grind. If you already have a high-level character and want to start the run clean, the rank NPC at the Hokage office desk resets your level to 1 while your unlocked bloodlines, scrolls, and weapons stay in your inventory.

Boss rotation for leveling 1 to 1000

Boss event quests carry the entire climb. Tailed Spirit bosses hand out large experience chunks even at low level, so the run opens on them immediately rather than on standard village missions. Bringing a partner speeds this up sharply, which suits a duo run where both players need the same levels anyway.

BossRole in the run
Sand CrawlerEarly filler boss. Repeatable and safe to farm from very low level.
JayramakiLevel 1000 boss used as the main repeat target through the mid-game.
Headless KorashiMid-run experience boost once your first bloodline moves are equipped.
Apol Gen 3Tailed Spirit event boss in Jejunes; also unlocks bloodline forms and drops scrolls.
Chu Gen 1Tailed Spirit boss farmed twice — once mid-run, again for the push past the 900s.
Shindai AkumaLevel 1000 boss at the Vinland Village spawn. Drops the Shindai Style scrolls.
Satori SpiritFinal target that pushes the character over the level 1000 cap.
Load into the village that hosts the boss you want and find its event spawn pedestal. Wait for the spawn timer to run out before anything can be accepted.
Interact with the pedestal and confirm the prompt to start the fight. The quest only registers once you accept it, so damage dealt before that does not count toward the objective.

Fight with your mode active and your strongest bloodline specs on the hotbar. Keep an eye on the HUD — the red danger indicator means the boss has you in range and can burst your health down quickly at low levels.

Pick up any scroll the boss leaves behind before you leave the arena. Drops are what unlock hidden techniques such as Shindai Style: Amethyst Lightning, and they do not go into your inventory automatically.
Cycle back through the rotation. Sand Crawler and Jayramaki are the workhorses in the middle stretch, and Chu Gen 1 is worth revisiting for a fast block of levels before you move onto the harder targets.

Note: Shindai Akuma sits at level 1000 and hits hard enough to end a run instantly if you arrive underleveled. Save it for the back half of the grind, once your stats and mode forms are online.

How to spend stat points during the climb

Stat points are not applied for you. Every few levels you need to open the character stats page and push points into Chi, Nin, Tai, and HP, or your damage will fall behind the boss rotation and each fight will take far longer than it should.

Chi and Nin do the heavy lifting for both builds, since the bloodline moves and hidden techniques scale off them. HP keeps you alive against the level 1000 bosses, and Tai supports melee chains between cooldowns. By the time you reach the cap, all four pools should be fully spent — leftover unspent points are the most common reason a level 1000 character still feels weak.

Leveling Shindai Yang to 800 to unlock all three moves

Character level and bloodline level are tracked separately. Hitting 1000 on your character does nothing for Shindai Yang, which needs its own grind before its full kit is available. All three of its moves come online at bloodline level 800, so the boss rotation continues even after the character level bar stops moving.

Keep the bloodline equipped in an active slot while you fight, otherwise it earns nothing. Rengoku Style: Great Majestic Blaze and Rengoku Style: Tailed Spirit Counter are the moves you want assigned once they are unlocked, and Shindai Style: Sunflower Illusion comes from a boss scroll rather than the level track.

Switching from the kid versions to adult Madara and Hashirama

Both characters start as kid versions, which is purely cosmetic. The adult look is a customization pass in the character editor — hair, face, and outfit — done after the level grind rather than before it, so you are not re-editing the avatar mid-run.

Madara’s adult set uses dark robes with the spiky black hair, and the Shindai Umpire Fan can be picked up from its spawn location to complete the weapon side of the build. Hashirama’s set is the red armor with straight black hair. Outfit pieces are applied through shirt and pants ID entries in the customization menu, so both players need those codes ready before editing.

How to confirm the duo build is finished

Three checks tell you the run is complete. Your character level reads 1000 with no unspent stat points, Shindai Yang shows level 800 or higher with all three moves selectable in the ability menu, and every boss drop scroll you collected appears as an equippable entry in the hidden technique list rather than sitting in your bag unread.

A duel is the practical test. Both the kid and adult matchups in the arena run without any level restriction once you are capped, and mode forms should activate immediately with the full moveset available on the hotbar. In this particular run, Madara took both duels — the kid version first, then the adult rematch after the Shindai Yang levels were in.

Reasons the run stalls

  • Unspent stat points. Levels alone do not raise damage. Points must be manually assigned across Chi, Nin, Tai, and HP.
  • Bloodline not equipped. Shindai Yang only gains levels while it occupies an active bloodline slot during fights.
  • Scroll left on the ground. Boss drops must be picked up manually after the kill, and the technique stays locked without them.
  • Skipping ahead to Shindai Akuma. It is a level 1000 boss, and attempting it before your stats are built usually wastes the spawn.
  • Moves unlocked but not slotted. Purchased and unlocked abilities still need assigning to hotbar keys before they can be used.

Run as a pair and the whole thing compresses considerably, since two capped characters clearing the same event bosses cut fight times roughly in half and both walk away with the drops they need. The order matters more than the speed — levels first, bloodline levels second, cosmetics last.
