A forward operating base in WARDOGS lives or dies on a handful of hard rules. Wall height, where you drop barbed wire, and how much cargo a vehicle can carry are all fixed numbers, and once you know them, the difference between a base that falls in one push and one that grinds an enemy team down comes into focus.
Quick answer: Stack tall Hesco blocks two high for a four-block wall, then ring the outside with tank traps beyond your barbed wire. That pairing is what stops players from parking a vehicle against the wall and jumping over it.
Why four-block Hesco walls stop vehicle jumps
A three-block-high wall is not a wall. Whether it is Hesco or stone, an attacker can drive a vehicle up against the outside face, climb onto the roof, and vault straight over the top. The wall itself never takes damage, so you get no warning and no destruction audio.
The fix is height. Place a row of Hesco, then stack a second row of tall Hesco blocks on top of it. The finished barrier sits four blocks high, which is above the reach of a vehicle roof jump. Builders call this configuration “The Castle,” and it is the baseline for any perimeter you expect to defend against vehicles.

Barbed wire is a slowing tool, not a barrier. A vehicle can drive straight through it. The wire deflates tires and bleeds speed, which is useful, but a determined driver still gets through and keeps rolling toward your wall.
On foot, an attacker can remove wire with bare hands. Roughly 12 to 13 punches destroys a section, and it is quiet, so a single infiltrator can open a lane in your perimeter without alerting anyone inside. Treat every wire section as something that will eventually disappear, and never let it be the only thing between an enemy and an entry point.

Where wire earns its cost is in shaping movement. Run it under bridges and along the outer edges of the base to close off approach routes you do not want to watch. Leave doors in your own layout so friendly players still have clean access while attackers get funneled into the lanes your defenders already cover.
Tank traps and perimeter layering
Tank traps solve the problem barbed wire cannot. Placed outside the wire line, they physically prevent a vehicle from parking close enough to the wall to be used as a step. Even if attackers cut the wire, the traps remain as a hard obstacle that blocks the approach.
The other job for wire is inside the perimeter, around corner towers. Corners create dead zones where an enemy can press against the base and sit below the firing angle of defenders above. Ringing the base of each tower with wire denies that ground and forces attackers back into view.
Corner sniper turrets, sandbags, and the double gate
Sniper turrets belong on corners, where they cover two walls at once. Once a turret is up, fill the open gaps with sandbags so shooters have cover while still holding a high firing angle. The same applies to catwalks, where sandbags turn an exposed walkway into a usable firing line.

For the entrance, build a double gate rather than a single one, so vehicles can pass through without ever leaving the base fully open. Put a defensive bunker beside that gate. It gives defenders a protected position to throw C4 at tanks that push the entrance, which is the most common way armor gets deleted at a chokepoint.
Build placement limits and ladder blocking
Some pieces simply refuse to go down, and the HUD tells you why. Warnings such as “FOUNDATIONS OBSTRUCTED,” “MUST PLACE ON GROUND,” “CAN’T PLACE ON SURFACE,” and “CAN’T PLACE ON IN-BUILT BUILDABLE” each point to a specific conflict. Read the message rather than nudging the blueprint around at random.
Ladders are the restriction that catches most builders. You cannot place structures too close to one, so plan turret and sandbag positions before you commit to a ladder location. If a ghost blueprint turns red near a ladder, move the ladder, not the wall.

Finish each sniper turret by closing its pass-through tunnel. Left open, it is a ready-made route for an attacker who reaches the corner.
Hammer techniques for faster, stable builds
Blueprints drift if you stand too close and keep walking into them. Position yourself at the maximum build distance the hammer allows, start hitting, and back away slowly as the structure comes up. The blueprint stays anchored where you put it instead of shifting mid-build.
Speed comes from input, not from the tool. Rather than holding the left mouse button, click it repeatedly. That cancels the swing animation between hits and completes a structure noticeably faster, which matters when you are raising a wall under fire.

Note: build supplies weigh 0.02kg per item, and any hammer will place structures. The Large Hammer is the practical choice for sustained construction work.
Moving build supplies with crates and pallets
Crates beat pallets on every vehicle. A Ural truck fits four Large Armored Crates at 1,750 supplies each, for 7,000 total. Load the same truck with pallets and you get two at 1,800 each, or 3,600. That is nearly double the resources per trip for the same drive.

Crate type matters once you start airlifting. The Large Armored Crate resists bullets and explosions, offers 35 slots, and survives a free fall of roughly 80 metres. The unarmored Large Crate breaks at around 60 metres. If you are dropping supplies from a helicopter, the armored version gives you the extra margin.
One last piece of economy worth building in: oil rigs do not share a cooldown, so a single base can host several of them running at the same time. Combined with a four-block wall, tank traps on the outside, and wire closing the dead ground, that turns a forward position into something that pays for itself while it holds the line.
