Slayers 2 gives demons and slayers two very different close-range weapons to work with. Claws lean on stun pressure and short bursts of movement, while the Tanto knife is built almost entirely around throwing yourself across the arena. Alongside the weapon showcase, the developers answered the questions the community had been asking for months about progression, gear, clans, and platform support.
Quick answer: Claws are a close-range pressure weapon with a stun opener (Tri Claw Reversal) and a pierce-and-knockback dash (Predator Claws); Tanto is a mobility weapon with Phantom Barrage, the steerable Spiral Fang dash, and the homing Tantō Descent. Nothing from Project Slayers transfers to Slayers 2.
Claws moveset in Slayers 2
Claws are a dual-wield weapon that wants to stay glued to an opponent. The basic M1 chain covers your standard slash combo, and the two named skills handle the two jobs a close-range kit needs, locking a target down and closing the gap again when they escape.

| Move | What it does |
|---|---|
| Claws M1s | Standard close-range slash combo. |
| Tri Claw Reversal | Leap backward while landing three claw strikes that scar the ground. Anyone caught in the start-up AoE is strict-stunned before the slash lands. |
| Predator Claws | Two rapid slashes, then a forward dash that pierces the target, followed by a backward dash that knocks them away. |
Tri Claw Reversal is the opener worth learning first. The strict stun on the start-up means you hold the opponent in place while you are already moving backward, which buys space rather than spending it.

Predator Claws does the opposite job. It commits you forward through the opponent with a pierce, then pulls you back out with a knockback dash, so it works as both a punish and a disengage.

Tanto moveset and mobility skills
The Tanto knife swaps sustained pressure for travel. Its M1s are quick slashes, and all three skills reposition you in some way, either through the air, across the ground, or straight onto a marked target.

| Move | What it does |
|---|---|
| Tanto M1s | Fast basic slash combo. |
| Phantom Barrage | Toss the tanto into the air, catch it, then unleash a barrage of rapid slashes. |
| Spiral Fang | Spin like a wheel and surge forward at extreme speed with free steering mid-motion. A hit reduces the opponent’s momentum. |
| Tantō Descent | Throw the tanto at a highlighted target. On a hit, chain rapid air dashes, yank the blade free, and kick the opponent away. |
Spiral Fang is the standout here because you keep steering while you are travelling, so it doubles as a chase tool and an escape. Cutting the target’s momentum on contact also makes it harder for them to run the same trick back at you.

Tantō Descent is the longest sequence of the two kits. The thrown blade homes onto the target you have locked, and only a landed throw opens the air-dash flurry that ends with the kick.
Claws vs Tanto: Which role each weapon fills
| Weapon | Core role | Best tool |
|---|---|---|
| Claws | Close-range pressure and lockdown | Tri Claw Reversal’s start-up strict stun |
| Tanto | Mobility and repositioning | Spiral Fang’s steerable high-speed dash |
Both kits can open a fight, but they end it differently. Claws want the opponent stuck in front of you; Tanto wants you arriving from somewhere they were not watching.
How clans work in Slayers 2
Clan spinning returns, so you still roll for your clan the same way you did before. What changed is what a clan actually gives you. Instead of a flat stat package with maybe one passive attached, every clan is now a structured kit split into four parts.
| Component | Effect |
|---|---|
| Buffs | Stat boosts, such as a flat increase to max health. |
| Perks | Skills you actively trigger in combat. |
| Passives | Always-on effects, which can work for or against you. |
| Modes | A stronger state some clans enter once a mode bar fills. |
Ubuyashiki is the clearest example of the rebuild. It now carries a large max-health buff, perks including Demon Slayer Summon (which calls in three allies to fight alongside you), Soothing Voice (which disables an opponent’s block for a couple of seconds), and Indomitable Will, plus passives covering growth speed, drop luck, and status resistance. Exact numbers can still change before launch, but the four-part structure is settled.
Series Items: Upgradable gear returns
Upgradable gear comes back under the name Series Items. Two new lines are confirmed, the Nightfall Series and the First Light Series, while the older Devourer and Polar series are retired and will not appear in Slayers 2.
The upgrade grind is also meant to be less restrictive. Crafting materials come from a wider spread of activities rather than being locked behind specific drops.
Breathing resets and what carries over from Project Slayers
Resetting your breathing style works the way veterans will expect. You collect ores and then purchase a race reset, so a bad roll is not a permanent problem.
Progression is the harder pill. Player data, items, and clans from Project Slayers do not transfer, because Slayers 2 was built from scratch rather than layered onto the original game. Everyone starts the new grind at the same point, including maxed-out veterans.
The one possible exception discussed is the Kamado clan, which may carry across in some form as a thank-you to players who supported the original. It can no longer be obtained in the first game.
Slayers 2 release date, time, and platform support
The Q&A pointed at a mid-September window rather than a fixed day. That window has since firmed up: Slayers 2 launches on Roblox on September 18th, 2026 at 4PM EST. Worth noting that September 18th falls inside daylight saving time in the US, when Eastern Time runs as EDT, and the time was stated as EST.
Console and mobile support are both targeted for launch day, with the finer implementation details still to come. A limited early access wave for selected players and creators is running ahead of the public launch.
Slayers 2 is developed and published by Ouw Production under Ouw0pp, and the weapon showcases have been arriving steadily in the run-up to release, covering Flame Breathing, Wind Breathing, Tamari Balls, Dream Manipulation, and Cryokinesis alongside these two kits. If you intend to main Claws or Tanto, the useful prep right now is deciding whether you want a lockdown weapon or a mobility one, since neither your old gear nor your old clan will be waiting for you on day one.
